Thanks to Covid the planned grand 90th birthday celebration for my cousin could not take place. Instead we took her to the Swan for lunch. The staff pulled out all the stops, decorating the table and making a suitable fuss of a lovely lady. The...food was good and the service very friendly and efficient. We have been coming here since the new owners too over about a year ago. It has showed a steady improvement, we will be back as it is a good place to eat and drink.More

Stayed here the last two nights in our campervan overlooking a pretty garden with a stream running through it. We had dinner Saturday evening and Sunday lunch. Both were delicious. It has a good choice on the menu and a good wine list. The staff...are friendly and helpful. The food was well cooked and served. We also felt the tables were spaced out enough to feel comfortable. What made our stay even better was the availability of an electric hook up so we were able th stay the weekend. Its situated in a really pretty village with lots of good walks nearby.More

We went for Sunday roast and was not disappointed. Huge portions and really tasty food. One of the best roasts we have had for a while. The service we received was polite and very professional and welcoming.

Having looked at the menu on line before we arrived I was disappointed to find it was completely different on arrival!! The food that everyone else had was good and so was the service but there were no plant based options at all. I ended...up with a dry veggie burger. I was offered whitebait or cauliflower cheese as a starter and was told there wasn’t any hummus as there is a shortage of chick peas!! I don’t think so!More

Thank you for leaving your review. I'm sorry you didn't have an excellent experience regarding the options we have for vegans. This is an area we've expanded the selections so much we actually have a vegan menu. And as for the remark about the shortage...More

We went for a riverside walk at Hoxne today and went to The Swan Inn after for lunch. Extensive menu with something for all our family, 2 vegetarians, 1 very fussy eater and 1 "I'll eat anything". We had to wait a little while for...our food, we thought this a good sign as the food was being freshly cooked. When it arrived it all looked fantastic and there was loads of food. My daughter and I (both vegetarian) had decided to share a pizza, Halloumi fries and a couple of tapas dishes. We brought half the pizza away with us as there was so much food. The pizzas are on par with the best I have ever eaten, cheese stuffed crusts........so filling. We found the price of the food very reasonable. Staff very professional and polite. We will definitely be returning. All COVID rules applied, plenty of hand gel, clear signs. An absolute find!!More

So good to see pubs open again after all this nonsense, but operating with sensibke precautions in place. We had a gentle walk around Hoxne, with the aim of getting back to this inn for lunch and we might have been the first to arrive....Really friendly barmaid/waitress, good beer and an excellent choice of tapas. At least as good as any we have had in the UK. And Hoxne is a really pretty little village.More

We had an amazing Spanish Tapas lunch, portions so large we had to take some home. Really great to see CV19 precautions in place and everyone adhering to the guidelines, staff were as friendly as always, we received a lovely welcome. Thanks Lisa, Mike and...team. We are so pleased that you are open and looking very smart after the painting session. XMore
