Great old style pub feel with a good selection of beers. We had dinner here and the food was amazing. Possibly the best food I have ever had in a pub. Recommend it to friends and family.

The food at The Colonist is easily some of the best pub food i've experienced. Staff are always helpful and friendly and the wine list is interesting without being pretentious. Love dining here and would recommend for any occasion.

When we arrived in the quaint dining area we were greeted with loud and raucous noise from the front bar that was quite intrusive. Food choices were excellent with ample choice. However the wine was very expensive for a pub. $48 for an average Tempranillo...More

Dropped in for a quick dinner and was very impressed. The tapas food we selected was excellent and tasty. Highly recommend the squid. It was tasty and melted in your mouth. Will definitely be going back again.

Nice shabby chic but when does a sprinkling of nuts on 3 ice cream balls make a sundae. 2 other deserts off. Lol. Main dishes good though.

Our datenights are rare these days and we chose The Colonist for dinner (we lived nearby many years ago). The calamari was flavourless and the chicken schnitzel very unevenly cooked - house white and the craft tap beer also disappointing.More

Now that it is Sunday I think your question has probably already been resolved. On Saturday they are open till about 2am, but the drinking areas outside close earlier about midnight.
