Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The Cinnamon Club is frequented by many of our friends and family with only positive feedback. As we hadn't visited for some time we went to the Movies on The Parade and then made our way to the Cinnamon Club after. We were not disappointed and there certainly were plenty of choices including authentic regional Indian food including curries and biryanis. Service was very efficient but we didn't feel rushed at all. Staff were very accommodating with special requirements and sharing of our meals. Our table for 2 was, however, pretty tight but as we were tucked in a corner it was very quiet so not a problem. When the room is full of people it can get quite noisy. So, if you are looking for an authentic Indian restaurant with plenty of choices, good service and reasonably priced meals this is a good option. The restaurant also offers a 15% Loyalty Card for your next visit.

A great atmosphere, the aromas - as expected - were ‘food to the senses’. My wife and I dined at CC last Sat night with another couple. Service? Brilliant! Food? Outstanding! We chose a table outside for a bit more space and it was a good move. Prices? Very reasonable for good serves of Butter Chicken, Lamb Tikka as well as samosas and saffron rice with garlic and plain naan. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Only downside - a small Indian beer (a bit of a palate cleanser) was almost $11 a bottle!

This was our second time for a meal. The first time was just the two of us and we enjoyed it so much we decided this time we would take our parents. From the moment you sit down, the staff are very smiley and welcoming . We ordered a dish each to share and we were impressed by how the staff didn’t force extra dishes onto us and even reassured us that we had ordered enough and if we wanted more , we could always order later . The food was very authentic and delicious . Our parents thoroughly enjoyed it and we couldn’t have chosen a better place for a light hearted , friendly and delicious dinning experience. I was very impressed that they did a traditional masala chai tea and it was delicious ! We will definitely be back !!!

Why have I not been here before? Had I know this place existed I would have been sooner and many times before. Serving people are wonderful, patient and thorough. The back of house people make some of the finest Indian food I have experienced, and I will be back for more.

Fantastic Indian cuisine and probably the best I’ve tasted around Australia & UK (we’re from the UK and have tasted curries around the world). The menu was extensive, the food was outstanding and spicy (unusual for Aussie tastes). The hosts were very flexible with the menus and provided off-menu options the Chicken Tikka Jalfreizi was amazing as was the vegetarian Mushroom version. The 4 Variety Vindaloo dish was sublime, mushroom, beetroot, lamb etc (ignore the menu on this site, it barely scratches the service of what they offer in house). If you’re in Adelaide, get yourself down to Norwood for this exceptional experience!

it was pouring with rain outside and we arrived with no booking on a busy night after an Adelaide Festival theatre event across the road. After a short wait we were found a table and although a bit squashed - which was our choice - we dived into the extensive menu. Considering how busy the restaurant was, I fully expected a long wait for service. Instead, the service was efficient and friendly and the food came out surprisingly quickly. The food itself was superb as was the recommended wine. After first courses, we moved to a larger table and shared mains and desserts which were excellent. Great convivial atmosphere and top food.

I can report favourably on the food here but the service is astonishingly bad. A restaurant that chooses Uber Eats over its in house diners and believes that to be OK deserves to be shut down as an eat-in option. We waited over an hour for food while hundreds of dinners went out the door with drivers. In any other country you would get your meal for free for suffering the inconvenience, but not at this narcissistic joint. Pity because the food is OK - just never eat there on a Saturday night.

My wife and I and another couple joined up yesterday to have lunch at the Cinnamon Club. Althouh it was quite being a Tuesday lunch time our service and food were great. We ordered a wide selection of food including the "Four Faces of Vindaloo" which if you like spicy food is a must to try.

A fantastic warm greeting is only topped by the quality of the Indian food here. Excellent wine list is complimented by a vast array of interesting dishes. We chose the Romalli roti and lamb mince and an innovative dish of a variety of four vindaloos. All tasted magnificent. Coupled with a brilliant Tarka Dahl. Leave room for the chocolate samosas, delicious! Fantastic evening, great service and food..

This is my usual Indian Restaurant in Adelaide and rather than my go to dishes of Lamb Korma, Rogan Josh or Palak Kofte and Saag Paneer which are excellent, we chose a coupe of entrees. The Veg Pakoras unfortunately were the worst Pakoras I have ever had and the Samosa Chat was just average, too westernized with lettuce surrounds rather than plenty of chutneys and yoghurt. I'll be back again but stick to what I know is good

Not for the first time, we left the Cinnamon Club feeling really happy and privileged to live within walking distance. It was a wickedly cold night, but we had Black Pepper Chicken Curry warming us from the inside out. What a complex and exotic dish it is. It was the first time I'd ordered it and, lamenting the loss of the three-vindaloo special, I was seeking a new thrill. I found it. We also had vegetarian kofta balls and Tandoori lamb chops - both divine. And, we had the most stunning service to make it all feel perfect. Brava and thanks, Cinnamon Club.

Cinnamon Club is probably the best Indian place I have ever gone to. Not only having an extensive menu of both drinks and food but the food is with the up most quality. The multiple times I have gone there never have I been given that is cold, tasteless or raw meat. With absolutely amazing entries/starters it is just amazing. The staff are insanely kind, and always get everything right. Only once was the kitchen slow in delivering food, and the bar giving out drinks slowly. Except for that I have never experienced any poor-quality severing. But even then, the food was still hot, cooked perfectly and delicious. I highly recommend this place for its delicious food, great service and insanely kind staff. It never has loud music; in fact, I don't even think it has music inside. The restaurant is always warm when it is cold outside and cool in the summer. I can't wait to go back.

Decided to take a pot luck approach to finding a restaurant in Norwood.. wherever we could find a parking space then we’d eat at the nearest restaurant. Hence the Cinnamon Club. Greeted warmly & table going for us despite no booking and a Friday night. Extensive food & drinks menu. Decided to order for the table rather than individual dishes. Entree-popadoms, chutneys & Vegetarian samosas. Main-Goain fish curry, butter chicken, lamb Rohan gosh, aloo, and a spinach & feta dish, plain naan, 2 garlic naan & rice. Bottle of rose ($72 pp for 3 of us). Food was outstanding, spice level exactly what we requested. Large portions so several takeaway boxes needed. Wine dry & crisp So pleased with our pot luck .. will definitely go back

Arrived without a booking on a Tuesday. They were not at all full but we’re unsure about offering a table for the 4 of us. Food was good and fast but the table was cleared before my husband had finished eating. He was still chewing when they removed his plate! Good food, very unwelcoming and poor service. We have been before, but were disappointed this time. Not sure we’ll be back.
