We stopped for lunch in this small restaurant while passing in the area. I have had warmer welcome. A large part of the frustration comes from a out of date menu, where many items are no longer available. This could easily be fixed by telling patrons in advance (or as a crazy idea by printing new menus...). The quality of... More

Not child friendly. The food thinks its gastronomic, but it is not. Medium price range, rather stuffy service and a very average experience I will not be repeating again.

From the moment we walked in and the waitress rolled her eyes I knew we should have left. It was rather like an old people's home circa 1980. My husband's lamb was over cooked and my daughter's chicken was definitely rabbit- all in all avoid.

My wife and I ate here with our 7 month old daughter for lunch. The Auberge was well presented although the staff could have been more welcoming. That being said that they had a high chair and heated up food for our daughter. They did seem to warm up to us as we were speaking in (GCSE!) French. We had... More

We popped in after a visit to the market. Really glad we did. Lunch menu was 16 Euros and included superb steak as main course. Starter was quiche with lovely pastry, and sorbet for dessert was amazing, bearing in mind I do not usually like sorbet. Is a family run place with regular Michelin accolades. Definitely worth a visit.

We'd spent a week self catering in Normandy, and for the last night we decided to book a meal and eat out. It was fairly rural where we were staying but stumbled across this place, and we're so glad we did! The food was fantastic, and the owner was extremely accomodating. If you are in the area it is definitely... More

Recommended by the host from B&B we had a dinner there. We took the meal of the day (21 euro) Worth it. I had a Gazpacho , very different from the others but so good I wanted more!! Fish was delicious as well. We add fromages ( extra 1.20 Euro) and calvados to finish. Highly recommended.

We actually found this place while waiting for the nearby Chateau de Vendeuvre to open as it didn't open until 2pm. So, we drove to nearby Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives and drove around looking for something that was open at this time (we actually initially drove by it, and came back to check it out). We came across this delightful little restaurant. We... More

Found this little gem by chance as everywhere else was shut (out of season) was wary as looked like my great aunts front room but thats where the comparison finished. Fantastic food and plenty of it. If you like cheese they have a great trolley full of it! We both took a 21 euro menu which gave us 4 courses... More

We went there for Sunday lunch with 14 family members. We we're sitting in what was nearly a conservatory apart from a solid roof. It was a hot day and we thought as we British do we could open the windows. Unfortunately not, other more regular guests complained about the cool breeze and the windows were shut. We would have...
