Great Beers, lovely food and a blazing log fire that warmed us beautifully. A wll kept pub with a fine cellar.

The food was good, the crab dishes however were small and lacking a little in style - the thermidor option was the best. The steak was enormous and very good, the fish and chips delicious. However the service was slow, rather hap hazard and the decor is not conduscive to a nice experience as the lighting is too bright.

Came here after a walk from Blakeney. Now don't get me wrong, the food was excellent. Couldn't fault it, however, the £17 for a burger was very pricey as there was nothing special about it, it was a well cooked and tasty burger, but I don't feel that justified the price. I was torn between the pan cooked chicken or... More

There wasnt enough room to put all this on your comments form We booked a long weekend and bought this offer online. Our first break for a few years so upgraded at a cost £100. The website showed uninterrupted views across the marshes which was not the case. On arrival to find scaffolding outside spoiling the look of the hotel.'... More

Great choice of food. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of local produce. Recommend the sausages and eggs. Good wine menu too.

Stayed here the night before our wedding! There were nine of us - six adults and three children - in three rooms on the first floor. All the rooms were comfortable, well equipped, with very comfortable beds, and spacious bathrooms. We all had dinner at one large table, and no-one had any complaints. The children were catered for very well,... More

We stopped for lunch during a shower and were pleasantly surprised. It hasn't got the ambiance of a cosy country pub sadly but the service was very good and the food good.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at the George. Our room was a good size and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was quite big and the shower pressure was great. The quality of the food was very impressive. We had a superb meal at the hotel on the Friday night (ate at the Windmill on the... More

Have. It eaten here but again the prices of the food look expensive, it seems that this part of Norfolk is living up to its nickname of "Chelsea on sea" and charging accordingly. Interestingly there was no one eating

Used to call in here quite regularly when on holiday in the area, before it was refurbished. Now, it just seems to lack a certain something. The food was overly rich and overpriced in my opinion. Such a shame, as it used to be a great pub/hotel.
