Visited this restaurant 3 times over the five days I was staying at the local Westin with friends for a conference. Not directly on the water but the atmosphere is perfect. We sat outside and listened to the tree frogs. All the food was excellent, from their specialty cocktails to the desserts. Owners are a lovely Canadian couple who are... More

The food and ambience here are wonderful and the owners, Mike and Theresa, are lovely hosts!! Lovely seating inside and outside. Service is quick, which apparently is rare here in St Maarten. Highly recommend!

We ate here with another couple on the first night of a week long stay at Oyster Bay and the experience was first rate from start to finish. The atmosphere was wonderful and it was a beautiful evening for dining outdoors. The four of us had wonderful meals and the fish was very fresh and perfectly prepared. This is a... More

This was our first trip to St. Maarten and heard great things about Big Fish. We tried to make a reservation had some trouble, but when we got to the restaurant we were seated with no problems. The owner Mike came up to the table and apologized for us having a problem making the reservation. Mike was truly a fabulous... More

We saved the best meal for the end our of week. Located at Oyster Pond, 3 mins from the Westin, this is an incredible find. The restauranteurs are Toronto transplants who brought with them delicious and creative approach to the menu. The sushi menu was a little traditional mixed with local flavors. The menu has an Italian bent with seafood.... More

We had the Grouper and Scallop dishes. Both were very good. Finished off the evening splitting a chocolate lava cake. Great night

We went to Big Fish on the recommendation of a frequent visitor to St. Maarten. There was five of us in our party and we were seated right away with no reservation. (It is not their busiest time in April.) My daughter is allergic to peanuts and although we have not seen too many restaurants serving peanuts, Big Fish was... More

We ordered many apps. every one of them was delicious the sushi was a big hit. Our meals were plated nicely... More

Big Fish was our last meal of the trip and a short walk from the resort. Wish we had gone in sooner. Mike, the owner was so friendly and welcoming. They have a great bar and serve upscale drinks. My husband and I shared a shrimp appetizer which was delicious. He had the seafood pasta and said it was his... More

We did not try the sushi and stuck with the local options (Grouper & Red Snapper) which were excellently prepared. Good wine list and other local cocktails options. Menu has non-fish options (lamb, steak) for those who prefer something other than seafood. Nice outdoor atmosphere-just be aware of loud tree frogs chirping in the evening!
