The salmon is one of the best I've ever had. Everything about my and my families meals was delicious. We visited on 23rd Dec 2020 during the covid. I must say we felt totally safe. Social distancing was adhered to (tables well spaced), hand gel...at all entrances, face masks worn by all staff. Not forgetting John the proprietor and his wonderful staff. As soon as we come out of lockdown (our 3rd) we'll be heading back to Seán Ógs Gweedore.More

I came here two out of the three nights I was in the area with my boyfriend. It was in walking distance from our air b&b and we enjoyed dinner and drinks here. They have chicken curry which was gluten free which was perfect for...me as I am coeliac. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

Jack carries this bar on his back he is by far the...god of this bar absolutely beautiful service and beautiful man. Every guideline was followed and still made it the best night ever. When you come ask for jack #bringbacktheblondeMore

Had dinner here 3 days out of our 7 day stay in Derrybeg, would have had a 4th night there but we were too late booking our table. Food was fabulous and staff really pleasant and efficient!

We had a lovely meal here. The outside of the building doesn't give the place justice for just how nice the food is, the mussels, curry and sticky toffee pudding was all to die for!!! Extremely impressed and the staff were just fantastic. I've never...seen so many young staff work so hard and be so attentive, highly impressed!More

Best seafood chowder in the world and I’ve tasted quite a few. Very family friendly and food available for babies also.

Very tasty food as usual (we are fairly frequent visitors to this establishment) but shockingly poor service on this occasion. We were served our drinks and food quite promptly but then, effectively, left alone for the rest of our visit. No second drinks for the...adults. We went up to the bar and requested a jug of juice for the children, although I believe that current health guidelines dissuade that. A waitress came to remove our main course dishes and asked if we wanted anything else. We asked about desserts. Nobody came to take our order. In the end we left and I mentioned the poor service as I paid. I was told that they were very busy(!) Things appeared the same as usual. I was then told that current guidelines mean that our visit had to be curtailed. We had been in the bar for an hour and twenty minutes (1hr 45 is the limit). Disappointing attitude and a real let down as we always look forward to a visit to Seán Óg’s.More

The food in Sean Ogs wont let you down. The staff are so friendly too. Try the Seafood pie. It is really delicious, one of the nicest you will ever have. Went back a second night and had the nachos and chillj bowl. The nachos...were home made and really delicious. Sean Ogs is a must if you are in the area.More

Booked a table for lunch after seeing good reviews. Unfortunately it only stopped there. We were sit very quickly and order was taken after couple of minutes, but waited at least 25 minutes to receive our order which was far from good. We were starving...as with Covid situation it is impossible to walk in to any other premises so we had no choice but to eat what was there. Kids meal was worst than from a cheap take away. The chicken burger was basically a plain frozen chicken and deep fried fries. The battered fish was chewy and overpriced too. Salmon main dish was ok, but not worth 17.60 e. Told the waitress about kids meal, but took no notice. Overall, think twice if you want to eat there. Poor performance. Not recommended.More

Ronnie, if I owned sean og I would make sure that you would be able to watch this match, unfortunately I don't. However the bar normally shows football matches on their large tvs, and I reckon they will if you ask if it is... More
