We had passed Teac Jack a few times and thought it looked nice, fantastic views and the food got good reviews, so booked it for an early meal, 5.30 pm, after a great day in Derry. We were ushered past loads of empty tables in...the bar with those stunning views and put in a huge function room with NO windows like we were lepers. There was another family in there too who walked out in disgust. I asked if we could eat in the bar and were told the tables had been allocated for later. I said we were only having a main course and would have had no problem vacating the table after an hour if they had asked. They begrudgingly gave us a table beside a cigarette machine, slightly better than a huge soulless room with no windows but not by much. Burgers were fine, but as most of the tables with a view remained empty the hour we were there, it left a sour taste in my mouth. Views are only for locals it seems. Extremely disappointing.More

Unfortunately my family were recently here for the afters of a family funeral but we could not fault this fantastic placeone bit. From once we entered with a blazing open fire, and a drink to start, to entering the dining room for what was a...super tasty meal, it was just wonderful. The soup was just beautiful ans dinner even better. The beef roast was to die for so tender ans tasty. I would highly recommend eating and enjoying a drink ans stay over in Teach Jack.More

Great food and real Irish ambience. Lovely quaint little town not far from Bad Eddie in Bunbeg. Have the Mussels and chowder, you won’t be disappointed!

This is an absolutely excellent hotel in the heart of Gweedore. I have stayed here many times and this was as usual perfect from the minute you check in the staff are very friendly and helpful you really feel welcome. The room we had was...spacious and had a good view and was very comfortable, we were here for a week and was always clean. The hotel has a great menu and is well priced the food is excellent. The bar has music most nights and a great selection of beers at a reasonable price. This place never disappoints always welcoming with genuinely friendly and helpful staff. I will be definitely be back I highly recommend this hotel.More

We visited as part of a group to have a meal and attend the Ceili. We had a three course meal and coffee or tea in the restaurant Food was good and wholesome and inexpensive The highlight though was the Ceili afterwards Starts at 9...and finished at 11pm The local people if all ages from terns to elderly were participating in the dancing and encouraging us visitors to join in which we did The dances were fun and the fact that we did not know how to do them was no handicap A great night A great place Locals deserve huge praise for their open friendly welcome a teal credit to IrelandMore

Just finishing an exceptional meal in teac jack. I had chicken on flatbread with stir fry vegetables. A feast. My son had beef medallion on sourdough bread. Nothing left on the plate. My wife had fish and chips.....a massive piece of fish. Try this place....It will not disappoint. Service good and great choice of main courses.More
