The title gives you an indication and it's a place that is very busy as its used by customers on the boats. Perhaps better to book. Good selection, food is well cooked, service good and good value. Pub type menu which is sometimes what you...More

Lovely location to stop for lunch and watch the boats go by, but the food could be improved unfortunately! Prawn sandwiches had more mayonnaise on them than prawns along with the bread being slightly dry around the edges.

Pub grub, but there are plenty of offer places to eat. Disappointing meal, my chilli lacked seasoning spice and flavour, it was more like a watered down mince that some one was going to turn into a chilli, but they didn't get round to it....More

Probably the best cooked Rib Eye Steak I've had in years, cooked to perfection. Ideal for mooring up overnight for free.

Thank you for this follow up, however, from our perspective it would seem that you didn't read the menu properly or were confused. No specials board, which we have - the fish and chips you mention are on the specials board... More

Important: to avoid disappointment, please call ahead to reserve your moorings / dining table. We are a pub offering great traditional pub food... not a fine dining restaurant and we do not offer table service. Thank you! 2015 Winner of 'Best Food', 'Best Moorings', 'Most Improved Business' on The Broads. The New Inn is a traditional family pub located in the idyllic village of Horning on the Rive Bure, set in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Since June 2014 The New Inn has been under new ownership with the owners and management team placing an emphasis on utilising Norfolk's finest produce whilst continuing to offer great value for money. The pub has a warm friendly atmosphere and prides itself on serving traditional locally sourced food, high quality Cask ales and fine wines. The New Inn has a spacious riverside garden that includes a covered patio and heated decking area, both are ideal for spending time relaxing by the river and watching the world go by. We have ample free mooring for day boats in our basin and for overnight boats on our quay heading, as well as a car park alongside if you are travelling by vehicle. For those of you who looking for entertainment, we have an outdoor amusements area for the children, air hockey and pool tables, plus quiz nights are held each week on Fridays. We also regularly host live music on Saturdays (please see our upcoming events). Dogs are not allowed inside of the pub (excluding guide dogs), however, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the heated decking and garden areas providing they are on a lead. Polite reminder: The New Inn has become increasingly popular, therefore, please remember to book in advance if you wish to reserve a boat mooring or to dine with us. We close the kitchen between 4pm and 5pm to prepare for the evening service.
