Visited on the weekend celebrating Beaujolais and had the special menu. To start I had the best quiche I've ever eaten and my husband enjoyed the lamb sweetbreads. For main we had the bouillabaisse and beef bourgignon, both were delicious and having visited France many times I could tell were very authentic, the beef just melted in your mouth. Dessert... More

On our stay in the area we had a most enjoyable meal in nice relaxed surroundings. I cant agree with the earlier comments about dated decor - I can only assume that diner prefers the modern noisy wooden floors instead of a venue carpeted throughout. Although not cheap the food was excellent and pleasantly served. All in all a really... More

If my last meal on earth was to be chosen by me it would be at The Pepperpot and would comprise grilled goats cheese on a salad, then lobster Thermidor, followed by Antoine's iced nougat..........

We arrived before opening time and were made most welcome. Our table was by the back window and was beautifully presented with linen cloths and napkins. The background music was soft...as it should be! Our starters were generous and very tasty. Main courses were delicious and service throughout was friendly and professional. After dessert we felt replete but comfortable. A... More

During August We ate in a thatched gazebo in the garden at this restaurant which is an unusual amenity for a restaurant this meant we could see the chef pick the herbs he needed for our meal from the garden . There were no issues to report and we had a thoriughly nice lunch

The food here is always fairly good and they serve until quite late (unlike most other places in the area). The only let down is the decor - you really do feel as though you're dining in a care home for the elderly. Whilst a whole refit is probably too much to ask for, I think a facelift would really... Whilst on holiday in the area booked this delightful restaurant for our anniversary celebration. This was our second visit having first eaten there a year ago also during a September holiday. It has a lovely atmosphere and weather permitting you can also eat al fresco. There is a good choice of menu with specials on offer. The dishes are all... More

Our friends booked this resturant for a night out. First impressions looking at the decor left you thinking is it going to be any good, what a very pleasant surprise, after the goats cheese salad starter and the perfectly cooked fillet steak main, and finished of with the nougat parfait wow!

Had a three course meal here with wife and the food was superb as per usual. The prawns with Chilli, Garlic & Choritzo was one of the nicest main courses I have ever had. Lovely setting and excellent wine. Well worth the 5 stars.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch here - 3 courses for a good price, decent range of choice and everything was extremely well cooked! Antoine's roast potatoes and pineapple, apricot and rhubarb sorbets were a cut above! Can't wait to go back in the evening and try the that menu too.
