We normally really like to eat here and have brought countless friends! but today got told we needed to book 4 hours prior to use our taste card...!? Never had to do this before and when your restaurant isn't even half full I'd have thought the custom would be welcomed!! Not impressed so we left and found a great curry... More

Went to the Bell with friends. The bar had no wine glasses when we arrived! The tables were dirty. When we got our glasses 10 mins after our bottle of wine we had to send them back as they were dirty. The toilets were even worse! The pub was half empty which used to be unheard of on a Saturday night... More

Having lived locally for years I have often frequented The Bell Inn with friends and had many a good night, in January the atmosphere was a real let down and the service very very slow, I had hoped this was a one off but alas it seems not, Saturdays are 'Live Music' nights and I booked a table in advance... Absolute shame. They have a sign to say great pub and awards. But new management and that's not true. Hole in the floor, dirty toilets, no soap, food rating naff and entertainment awful. Didn't clean the tables and didn't give glasses for water. Wine glasses filthy. Such a shame for a local pub. Band was awful!!

We have eaten at The Bell regularly for years and it's been a great venue for family get togethers. Unfortunately, recent experience suggests that this is no longer the case. A group of 15 of us came for dinner last Monday night (after pre-booking) for my mother's birthday. Having used the Bell previously for family gatherings, I was really disappointed... More

Turned up on a last minute table booking for Sunday lunch. The food was tasty but wholly let down by its temperature. The food was luke warm by the time it arrived at our table which was most disappointing. Service was particularly slow too. Small teething problems easily rectified. Was more concerned to be told they were out of horseraddish... More

A really nice, family friendly pub (with the bonus of fantastic views over the Thames). Fabulous food (make sure you save room for pudding), helpful staff and an impressive selection of beers. We will definitely be going back. Even our fussy four year old was impressed.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, Really friendly, helpful staff Everyone had good food and good time Were there most of the evening, plenty of seating and Manager allowed us to change our eating table to where we were seating to avoid everyone getting up and moving again .

Met up with family for the quintissential Sunday roast and the Bell doesn't dissapoint, well cooked meat with near perfect roasties - and that's hard for a pub and most seem to fall way short. Slight critique would be that on the menu they advertise sugar cones for the kids pudding, the waitress looked blank and said they have never... More

We visited as a group of friends (9 total) for a late Sunday lunch. We had reserved a table which was probably necessary as it was quite busy with diners even at 2pm. The table was large and right by the window with lovely views across the road to the river. Despite it being a Sunday, and therefore a special... More
