Once again the Ancient Britain didn't disappoint, Belly Pork yummy served by the friendly bar and kitchen staff. Log fire roaring, fabulous selection of cask beers what could be better on a dull Thursday lunchtime.

We had a meal here, kids in tow. A good menu to choose from and a kids menu too. I had the lasagne and chips, husband had the battered fish and chips (huge portions). Chips are delicious by the way. Service was good on the night we went.

Lovely food, real chips and nice people. Great choice of beer. Battered Cod was very nice and my Brother enjoyed his Chicken Madras. We will be back for a return visit.

We visited here for an evening meal and found quite a wide choice on the menu. Tends to be pub grub, such as pie and chips / fish and chips... it seemed a popular place too as it was quite busy. We had a fairly decent meal which was reasonably priced. The service was a little lacking, but this could... More

We all go out to dinner for a great experience, sadly I felt tremendously let down as my experience was devoid of great, from a bad mannered manager and chef who didn't show any pride on this occasion. I can only assume from other reviews that this may not be his standard. However, I left deeply disappointed. Now I use... More

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, what more could you want. Called in Christmas eve in hope of grabbing some lunch. Staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating considering we had two and half dogs in tow. Food was home cooked and gorgeous, not a frozen chip in sight. would definitely recommend the Ancient Briton to anyone in the area

We were staying at Craig Y Nos and were recommended to eat here. Friendly helpful staff and food was great - extremely well presented and tasty and huge portions! Definitely go there if you are in the area :o)
