My favourite Deliveroo takeaway, large portions Went to eat on a Saturday night in the restaurant, really impressed with Covid precautions, excellent service and food. It’s not cheap, but is definitely value for money. If you want good food you have to pay a little extra these days.

Excited to try Chislehursts newest venue. It was friendly and glam, and a nice menu choice. Slightly disappointed at the wine by the glass options (in comparison to the vast choice by the bottle) but not a big deal. Presentation of food very good. Cocktails also excellent and a nice bar area to enjoy a cocktail. The young waitresses needed a tad more training, for example mid meal they tried to give us 2 Espresso’s (which also ended up on our bill until I told the manager) - when the food is this hot, the last thing you want is a coffee mid meal! It was expensive, not as much as Indian Essence in Petts Wood, but similar. Saying that it totally outclasses any other Indian local, in my opinion. Be warned, the goat madras is hot as! Facilities were very classy as was the whole restaurant. Looking forward to going back. #woodesthergoback

Had the perfect lunch in CC’s garden. Delicious roti wraps, beer and water. Excellent service. First eating out experience in the age of COVID - CC had done a perfect job to make us feel safe. Been enjoying their takeaways and will definitely return to the restaurant.

We live close by and often drive past Cinnamon Culture, noticing the Michelin star sign. We booked a table for a Tuesday night in August, during the eat out to help out government scheme. Ambience: The restaurant was busy lots of couples, groups of friends and families. The decor was dated and I was a little disappointed walking in expecting fine dining. Service: we was seated at 6.30pm which was the time we had booked for. We was approached multiple times from all different servers for drinks and food. Personally it was a little bit too much for me but I guess you could say they was attentive. Because of the masks there was a lack of personality. Food: so being Michelin starred (albeit in 2018, so i thinks that’s expired now). We had the Lamb chops which were very nicely spiced and delicious. We also had the soft shell crab, which was awful. Unfortunately it didn’t taste of anything other than batter and the meat I did get was salty and gritty. Mains, we had the lamb shank, wasn’t too bad but was a bit dry. The duck was very nice, quite small though. Sides, well... so over priced, very small - nothing special about them to justify paying £6-8 each for saag aloo and Bombay potatoes. Based on the over pricing compared to the produce we decided to skip dessert. Bill was £117 including Service charge £13.50 Help out to eat out discount of £20.

This restaurant is located in a converted pub and the visit was upon recommendation. The layout was high class with friendly staff and a table found in seconds. The menu that one would expect to be given was nowhere to be seen and we were asked to visit the website on our phones. The other member of the party did not have their phone with them and a tablet was brought over. Trying to navigate across the menus was diffulcut and we were not impressed. Myself, I did eventually get logged onto the Wi-Fi with lots of faffing around on my phone but would still prefer a normal menu to be given at the table. The Papadums & chutneys arrived but the former were like triangles plus spicy ones curled up. We would much preferred the large round Papadums that one is usually served in Indian restaurants and not spicy. The Chutneys did not include the yoghurt/cucumber dips or perhaps onions which were found to be extra cost. The main course was the best part of the dinner. The range of deserts were unusual and not much of the expected usual choices found in a restaurant of this type. To finish off the coffee was however good. When the bill arrived we were a little shocked as it was more than double the price that was to be expected. I have been to many Indian restaurants establishments and this was the most expensive ever!! If you want a high class experience this may be for you but we won’t be going there again!

I visited this restaurant with my partner to celebrate a special occasion on a Saturday night. I picked this restaurant because there seemed to be a good range of gluten free options, in particular I was looking forward to the gluten free chapati, having never seen that on a menu before. As we were seated, we weren't told the QR codes we needed for the menus were already on the table, so didn't realise we had the drinks menu in front of us. They were out of both draught beers and the first bottle he selected, so he went for his fourth choice. When the waiter came to take our order, the first thing we ordered was the chilli paneer stressing we needed the gluten free option. He repeated chilli paneer, to which my partner said, yes but the gluten free option. We ordered the rest of our meal, but were told that they were out of the gluten free chapatis. I was devastated! It was the entire reason I had picked the restaurant! In my disappointment, I didn't even realise when the waiter read back the order that one of our items was missing. But again, when he read back the chilli paneer, we stated the gluten free option. The restaurant was busy, and it was hard to get the attention of anyone just to get some water. When our starter arrived, it was delivered to the table next to us, but once brought to us, I could tell it wasn't gluten free. I asked the waiter if it was, and he said he wasn't sure. So I asked if he could be sure. At this point, someone I assume was a manager came over, and said he would check with the kitchen. Turns out it wasn't gluten free, and we had to wait for a fresh portion to be made. The mains took a very long time to come out, and when the rice was served, it was topped with crispy fried onions. These are usually fried in wheat flour, but everything had been so slow, I just didn't care any more. My partner scooped them off the top and ate them. I should say that the food was lovely, and staff were very polite. But the whole evening was just disappointing, didn't feel special at all, and I left quite upset as it didn't feel like we had celebrated anything. I would have rather just got a takeaway and enjoyed the food at home, but wouldn't recommend that if you need it to be gluten free as attention to that detail was sadly lacking.

We had high hopes for this restaurant but was left very disappointed. We arrived and was greeted warmly and nicely. We where asked if we would like popadoms which came out rapidly so all seemed well. It then took 10 mins before anybody asked us if we would like a drink. We ordered a wine and a draft beer as well as ordering our food. All again came out rapidly in which most people would think was good service but we hadn’t even finished the popadoms. The food was average at best in fact I’d had better elsewhere and I thought it was over priced for what it was, there are also no indications on the menu of how spicy the dishes are which is a bit poor. Myself and my wife ended up swapping food because hers was to spicy ( I like spice ) so that was ok. my draft beer was flat when I asked for the other one that was served on draft I was told that was also flat so I had to settle for small bottled beer. When we finished our meal we fancied an expresso martini each but left with further disappointment as we where told the machine was broke. All in all • good service • average food ( I’ve had better and paid more ) • over priced • disappointing on the drinks front

This restaurant is far from average. The exterior gives no clue as to the relaxing and thoughtfully designed interior. With exotic twists on traditional Indian food e.g. buffalo and ostrich on the menu, this restaurant offers something a bit different and most importantly delicious and very well presented. It is not cheap but this is justified by the generous portions, and the high quality of the food. The service was spot on - attentive and accommodating but not intrusive. Will definitely be visiting again.

I have walked past the restaurant probably hundreds of times and never ate here. Finally decided to dine here for my partner's birthday and happily surprised. Food was great, they even brought a little dessert as a treat with 'happy birthday' on it for my boyfriend. Food was great, big portions and cocktails were great too. Thanks for a lovely evening

Where to start…. We can’t rate the food because we never had the opportunity to try it due to the wait even though we had a booking. The service was rude and dismissive. When we walked in on time for our booking, we were pushed to the bar which was littered with dirty glassware and very off putting. It took us 10 minutes to get a drink and 20 minutes later we asked about our table. With a lack of response, we pointed out we had a booking 20 minutes prior and the wait staffs response was “I’m telling you now, your table is ready”. There were several tables free and four other groups waiting who were eventually seated at said empty tables but, we ended up walking out due to the hygiene and rude wait staff. Save your money and go elsewhere as, the state of the bar and the arrogance of the staff, tells you everything you need to know

Arrived at 7.15 as requested by restaurant.Got a cab there as did not want to be late. By 8.40 we had still not received our starter. We were told it would be another 10 minutes...by which time we gave up and went home. They tried to placate us with a tiny tray of dips and tiny popadoms....dont go if you are really hungry or have an appointment later on as you will never get served.

Our first restaurant outing in 6 months since Covid-19 hit, and what a comfortable, tasty experience it was! This is our local fine dining indian, and we were so happy with the service and care given the current circumstances. The food was outstanding as usual. We recommend the chilli paneer, Shakarkandi chaat for starters and Beetroot Kofta and Bagare baingan for mains. We are vegetarians and we think the food is delightful. We have tried the sea bass pre-vegetarian and we thought it was one of the best fish dishes we have ever had. Can't recommend the food and quality - the cocktails go down well also !!

Booked for New Year’s Eve. Restaurant exceptionally crowded and noisy. Disco lights all over the ceiling. Service was very slow and the quality of food was impacted. Waited over an hour for the starters. The scallops were uncooked. The desserts looked appalling so we didn’t order them and decided to leave. We refused to pay for any service charge as we had received such poor service. We will never visit again.

We had only heard good things about this restaurant so we were excited to spend an evening there with friends to celebratea birthday. The evening started off well, with waiters frequently at our table taking our orders. A big positive was the food. Delicious! Not your usual menu, definitely a step up. Not cheap, but neither mega expensive. However, we definitely wouldn't return at the weekend. The restaurant was full - and the level of noise was deafening. We were a small party of 4 and we could hardly hear each other across the table, even with raised voices! Nonetheless, we tried to enjoy the evening without negativity. However, as soon as the tables with the larger parties left, the good service we'd enjoyed up to that point, came to an abrupt halt! We were waiting to order desserts, coffees, etc but we struggled to catch anyone's attention. Basically, the majority of staff were exiting the restaurant, either for a break or because they'd finished for the evening. Hence, the service basically came to an abrupt halt. It was as if the smaller parties, of which there were still a few, were of little significance. What a disappointing ending to what could, and should, have been a very enjoyable evening. Will we return? Probably at some point, but definitely not at the weekend!

We wanted to try something new, and Cinnamon Culture delivered. The scallops starter was superb and the mains of chicken and lamb were well-balanced and unique. Atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable too. Will go back as their menu is full of interesting dishes.
