31 members of our U3A luncheon group enjoyed a 3 course meal here with coffee for £20. I was happy with 3 courses but some would have preferred 2 at a cheaper price but this was not an option. We had chosen beforehand so were served quickly. I enjoyed my pate starter and sreak and ale pie apart from some... More

I wouldn't normally write reviews but felt I must do this time. My husband and I visited this restaurant this evening as a belated Valentine. It was absolutely superb. The food was 1st Class and the ambience wonderful. The attention to detail was second to none and the staff excelled. Totally fab would highly recommend .

Very good food, was there for Valentine Night, but a glass of champagne is a glass of champagne, not half a glass! Must admit, on that front I felt robbed!

Had Sunday lunch yesterday and it was excellent. Pink beef, crisp Yorkshires and Roasties and you can ask for more of the excellent veg. Although some Mash would have been nice. Good service even though it was busy. Will definitely return as long as I don't have Mrs Loudmouth name dropping on the next table at 100 dB again.

I was advised to book for the Black Horse and I could see why as it was packed on Saturday evening. I chose it purely because I was staying in the village and had no idea what to expect. My friend and I were made welcome from the moment we walked through the door and we commented what a lovely... More

We were staying at nearby Croft Park & visited Thursday evening for steak night, if you are anywhere within a 30 mile radius then do not miss out on a visit to this place. I can honestly say I have never had a better fillet steak, rare & cooked to perfection! The trio of fishcake starter was also delicious &... More

We, as a family, have eaten here a few times recently because the food has been so good. The steak and fish have always been good and the burgers are absolutely brilliant. I have to say that I found the San Miguel on draft to be quite expensive bit i suppose it is gorgeous!! We will definitely continue to go... More

A great little pub. Fantastic tasty meals and lovely atmosphere. We actually went for a fish a chip deal (£6!) but didn't realise the deal stopped at 7pm. However we asked if we could still have the deal but at full price which the girl who served us was happy to sort out for us. Even though we paid more... More

Another lovely evening at our local pub. Thursday is steak night and 3 out of the 4 of us had steaks. My husband thinks their fillet steaks are the best he has ever had and he has tasted many in his time all around the world! We ate in the bar as we went early, very cosy with the log... More
