Whether it breakfast, lunch or just a coffee this place is great. Quaint, clean, up-market tea shop at reasonable prices. Nothing nicer than walking the Strawberry Line and stopping off here for refreshments. Also a good place to meet up with friends.

They cram a lot into a small historic building. We went because it was dog friendly. There are a few tables downstairs but a steep spiral staircase leads to the main area upstairs. Here you can marvel at the old beams and spot the owls nestling in the corners. The dog was directed outside and up some sturdier stone steps... More

This charming tea room in a 1450 building is a pure delight. Friendly staff and really great food. We both had a panini for lunch. Grilled ham and cheddar cheese, small salad, crisps and cole slaw for less than 6 pounds was excellent. Large pot of tea for two only 3 pounds. Do not miss this excellent place right on... More

We came across this place by chance, we had stayed overnight in Cheddar and someone at the Motor Home site mentioned what a lovely historical place Axbridge was.As we headed for the M5 we saw Axbridge signposted and pulled in for a walk round. This Tearoom was open so we went in for coffee's and bacon sandwiches, fantastic. The building... More

We visited this tea house in the sleepy village square. The service was quick and friendly and the food superb. I have eaten a lot of bacon and eggs for breakfast but this is the best in my 52 years on the planet.

Beautiful building (in a very quaint old town) with lots of history, excellent and cheerful service with really good food. I'd have no qualms going back again. Lovely atmosphere ...and they did some very yummy cakes I noticed ..shame it was so early!

Super little tea shop. So quaint and so well renovated. You can read it's history in the cafe. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The coffee/tea and cakes were to die for.

Our small, family run business is set in an original 15th Century Almshouse which is full of character and atmosphere. It is a relaxing place to enjoy everything from a simple cuppa to breakfast, through lunch to afternoon tea. During fair weather our secluded courtyard garden is a must see. The small town of Axbridge is found at the foot of The Mendip Hills at the edge of the Somerset Levels. It is just 2 miles from the much better known village of Cheddar with it's famous Gorge, cheese and caves. Axbridge is particularly popular with walkers & cyclists as The Strawberry Line runs through it's Medieval Square and we are dog and child friendly.
We hope to see you soon.
