I spent a long weekend in Venice with a trip to Murano/Burano.
During the ferry ride they told us to try buranelli, a specialty of Burano. We stopped at a pastry shop, we bought a sachet but we were quite disappointed as they were simple dry biscuits with a hint of lemon. On the way back to the port we stop at the Costantini pastry shop to make some little gifts for the family and take a packaged bag of Buranelli Esse. Back home we taste them and are amazed, not even at Iginio Massari have we eaten such good sweets. Truly a delight. Compliments!!

We tried the "S" buranello for 2.50 euros each, there were classic ones and ones with chocolate. They were rich. There was also a variety of other desserts and sweets.

We stopped there during our day visit to Burano. Tasty pizza wedges and very pleasant staff.
Just a small place outside to eat so you have to wait your turn ;-)

We bought some buranelli, which are typical of the island. What we didn't like is that, despite what we paid for them (which aren't exactly cheap), they didn't let our little son use the bathrooms, inviting us to go to the nearest public bathrooms (for a fee...). Simply regrettable.
