Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great food and service but the specials are outrageously priced. We had a delicious meal with my wife getting the squid and I ordered the local fish specials. The regular fish was €20 (about $24) which wasn’t bad but we had ordered the specials and didn’t realize to ask the price. The service was great and it’s run by a local family. The deserts were very good with the Tiramisu that was great. You can also order a tasting of deserts which isn’t on the menu. We went with the Tiramisu and Marscapone with local cookies desert. Both were good, and worth a try although the Tiramisu was the best. There is a cover charge and the water was €4 but the bill really put a damper to a great meal as the specials were €30 each (about $40) so a total of about $106 for lunch. Other than the specials price, it’s a five star meal.

The choice of the local people We went there for lunch, with the recommandation of the local baker. A excellent one !! We had the local rice cooked with a local fish bouillon. A delight. Good location in the Main Street of Burano, friendly staff. Highly recommended !!!

Decided to come here for dinner since we were on Burano & had heard good things. So incredibly glad we did. We were seated by one of the daughters of the owner, who told us a little about the history of the restaurant & about the specials (daily locally caught fish which smelled amazing). While I would have loved to have one of the fish risottos which I had heard were amazing, they are for 2 people minimum & only I ate fish in my party. We then decided to go for some classics, and had the lasagne and the carbonara, both of which were perfect. The wine I had been recommended by one of the waiters was also a lovely dry white, incredibly smooth tasting and easy to drink. We had a lovely chat with the owner (the father of the family) who then got us some of the traditional Burano biscuits and the chocolate salami, both of which were incredible desserts. After paying, we went inside to thank the family for the meal and to let them know how great it was and we were given two limoncello’s, which were lovely. If you are in Venice, the trip to Burano is worth it both for the island and this restaurant. Anytime I am next in Burano I will return. It is worth recommending that you book, as although we got lucky due to them having a free table, it does get very busy and you do not want to miss out.

Paolo and his family have a great place, with great food, Had home made pasta and my wife enjoyed a mix of grilled fish and a nice wine. His three daughters work as wait staff and they are terrific. Ornella, his wife works inside and controls things while Paolo entertains and takes care of the customers. Great place on Burano and well worth a visit.

We found this place by accident and we had an amazing experience. Typical Italian family cantina with great food, wine and specialty a very warm service by the family itself. We were lucky enough that both of the owners and their daughter waited on us. They gave us recommendations of what were the fresh fish and seafood of the day and helped us throughout the whole lunch. We highly recommend them!

We wanted only 1 dish with mixed baked fish and even though I highlighted it twice salesman himself decided to bring us extra one without my consent and charged us with 30€. Menu prices don’t match with the prices your are charged. I will not recommend it definitely because it’s a fishery island and dishes are extremely expensive there. You can find better places nearby with better prices for sure. And carbonara for 18€ in Italy? Seriously?

Such a pleasant surprise in Burano, after a boring lace tour ;) We met the owner, who fishes daily for the specials like soft shell crab, sea bass and bream. We sampled the daily special of sea bass, made like a tuna-salad, with artichokes, It was BONKERS good. We also assembled fresh cuts of meat/cheese and caprese salad (locally grown tomatoes) and a spicy chili spaghetti. Drinks were reasonably priced, all served by the owners sweet daughters. Skip the lace shops, head to Da Primo.

Wish I had read the other reviews first. First of all the food is tasty. I liked the food, except for the lobster pasta my mom ordered. That was extremely fishy. But basically the prices are double what you expect them to be. Lunch cost us $130 euros for 3 people. The menu said my mother’s dish was $13 euro. They charged us $28. Ordered the risotto, they told us it will come out in two dishes. Charged us $48 instead of $24, so they actually gave us two servings but tried to pretend like it was one when we ordered but charged us for two. Also charged us for more than one bottle of water, but we only had one. They tried to pretend like they didn’t understand us when I asked about it, but they understood us perfectly when we asked anything else. Then the waiter was extremely pushy about leaving a tip on the card. Normally I don’t like to write negative review, especially about small businesses, but skip this place unless you want to pay double what the menu says.

Lobster linguine at €28, (whole lobster) is definitely value for money…. One of the best lobster dishes eaten on a recent trip to Venice… pasta cooked to perfection, the sauce was great, not too sour and just the right amount of sweetness to accentuate the lobster 🦞 . The gnocchi with mushrooms and cream sauce were exquisite… vibrant texture and fantastic combination in flavours… washed down with a .75 L of Chardonnay (€9) very decent price for great food, outside seating so be prepared to be surrounded by pigeons… well done 👍 big thumbs up

This is a family run business. Speciality sea food. The fish is caught in the morning and served that day. The owner and his daughter served us. They were very friendly and explained the menu very well. This restaurant is used by Premier footballers. The prices are a bit expensive but the quality of the food is well worth it. I really don’t know why this restaurant isn’t in the Michelin guide.

We were recommended to visit this restaurant whilst planing our trip to burano, and what a jolly good recommendation it was too. On a long street, and with tables outside to dine whilst taking in the art of people watching, we were delighted to be made very welcome and looked after by a lovely team of genuine people who really appreciated your custom, and made sure that nothing was too much trouble. The pasta is extra special, so to us the fish, again, I would say, that here is a place that knows how to care about the time you spend in the capable hands, making the whole experience one to remember, and indeed look forward to doing again, I will, we will, and I hope soon. Enjoy.

We did a day trip from Venice to Burano, and we are so happy we did. After arriving we immediately searched for this restaurant based on reviews and were greeted by Paulo and his family (Paulo is the owner, his wife makes some of the dishes and all the desserts, and his daughters serve :) ) Everything was delicious and homemade! My husband loves seafood and the appetizer sampler did not disappoint! We also shared caprese & prosciutto and melon which were fabulous as well. Up next we had homemade pasta with a light tomato sauce, which was simple but to die for! The entire meal was so pleasant, filled with enjoyable chatter from Paulo! Must try to Bruno!!!!!

The staff is very attentive but food is average. Lasagna was cold, very cheesy and no tomato sauce. No flavors for an Italian Restaurant. Euros $ 45 for an small dish of fish was way overpriced. Wine is overpriced: the waiter told us he will bring a bottle of wine and we could drink whatever we wanted and charge for what we drink but we were charged for a whole bottle. TOURIST TRAP!

The servers are not friendly and are quite rude. They add a fee for gluten free pasta without mentioning it. They also add a fee on gluten-free bread. I thought this was a disgrace since I didn’t chose to be allergic and therefore shouldn’t pay extra for it. The food was good but the portion were too little for an adult person compared to the expensive prices.
