Stopped in for an 'esse' cookie on our visit to Burano on a very hot July day. I chose this bakery based on the sign saying it's been in business since 1926. There was a large variety of baked treats to choose from and a few different flavors of esse cookies. I chose a pistachio and it was delicious. Soft & flavorful!
Too bad I live in another country because I would definitely like to revisit this bake shop!

Our son - 3 years old - had dared to sit on the floor in front of the shop window and we were just thinking about what to buy.
However, the owner was very quick and wanted the broken 3 year old to get up and leave.
This is how child-friendly and service-oriented works...NOT!
An absolute cheek and a shame for the island.
