On a recent solo adventure to the enchanting island of Burano, I stumbled upon Osteria al Museo, and I’m so glad I did. Tucked away in a quaint and charming piazza, the restaurant exudes warmth and invites you to linger a while. The colorful buildings around me and the gentle hum of locals chatting created a delightful backdrop for my meal.
To start, I couldn’t resist ordering an Aperol Spritz, and let me tell you—it was made to perfection. Crisp and refreshing, it was the ideal way to embrace the Italian spirit. As I sipped my drink, I felt a sense of relaxation wash over me, as if I were truly part of the local scene.
For my main course, I opted for the little necks and pasta, and it was fantastic. Each bite was a delightful blend of tender clams and perfectly cooked pasta, all swimming in a flavorful broth that felt like a warm hug on a plate. I savored every mouthful, relishing the moment and the incredible taste of fresh ingredients.
To finish my meal, I chose the panna cotta, and it was the perfect ending. Silky smooth and just the right amount of sweet, it felt like a little cloud of happiness. I took my time with it, enjoying the peaceful ambiance and watching the world go by outside.
Dining alone can sometimes feel daunting, but at Osteria al Museo, I felt right at home. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was lively, and the food was simply divine. If you find yourself in Burano, do yourself a favor and stop by—this place truly captures the essence of Italian dining, one delicious dish at a time.

Attracted by the excellent reviews we decided to try having lunch in this restaurant in beautiful Burano and, unlike other times, we were right to trust.
Fresh and well cooked fish, truly impeccable service. We had both food and wine recommended and everything lived up to expectations.
The bill was a little salty, but we expected it both for the quality of the raw materials and the dishes. It was worth it!

The stop at the tavern is obligatory for us, the beauty of the Lido Film Festival calls a lunch at the Museum, immersion in the “beauty” of food.
Highly professional staff welcomes you pampering you and then you start!
Do not miss the Bellini as a start, then the menu offer is rich and the staff welcomes requests (mine) to change the contents of the dish for my intolerance.
Eaten and drunk very well with a great value for money.
Recommendation also for the beautiful location in the square!
See you in 2025

This place was recommended by a friend saying we should visit if we were in Burano. In all honesty, best flavoured, fresh dishes we had in our trip. I had a fish dish and my boyfriend had a steak as he doesn’t like fish. Them both dishes were great. The service very friendly from beginning to end. The attention to detail from the staff is also noticeable. You might think it’s a bit pricey but their service is like if you are in a 5 stars restaurant in a more casual, chilled, outside vibe. The dishes are really cooked fresh so you do pay for what you get: Freshly cooked, seasonal and full of flavour. We also got to taste a particular delicious limoncello (you literally should ask for it) followed by the story behind how they managed to add this one to their menu.
Highly recommend.

The experience in this restaurant in Burano was very satisfactory. Despite being a tourist place, it stands out for offering exquisite local cuisine based on quality products. This also highlights the friendliness and professionalism of the service that strives to make a pleasant stay for clients. Extraordinary fried fish. Well located place with a pleasant and unique terrace in the heart of Burano. Correct quality-price ratio taking into account the location. It is surely the best option to eat well on the island. All highly recommended. It is worth a visit. Reservations are essential as it is a very busy place.

This tavern was recommended by the Lonely Planet guide, we trusted it and our expectations were even exceeded. We found real Venetian dishes but with attention to the refinement of flavors, the perfect combination of tradition and innovation! The beautiful day allowed us to eat outside, the service always very courteous and attentive. Unfortunately we forgot to take photos, but we recommend the bigoli with anchovy and orange reduction and the goby risotto, both truly excellent. We were lucky and the period allowed us to find moeche (crabs without shells), fried with polenta... they were something amazing! The starters were all good, both the Venetian encore and the Casanova. It's not a low cost restaurant but it's really worth it, for the food and the service. The choice of wines offered is also very good!
Really highly recommended!!!

A very full and hot no 12 waterbus but worth the journey for our best meal so far. Recommended by the lady we met in Murano this restaurant near to the lace museum probably gets missed by a lot of people because it’s a bit of a further walk than the first main drag off the waterbus. We ordered the simple mozzarella and tomato salad to share, the local risotto with lagoon fish which was very delicately delicious and shared their pannacota for dessert. At around 90 euro with just one glass of wine each it was a elegant lunch treat for us compared with some of what we have been served in Venice itself. Everyone was ordering the Fritto Misto which looked amazing and worth a return journey in itself. Watch out it’s a big portion.

An excellent fish restaurant. Well made dishes, very fresh fish, very attentive and friendly waiters. They all know English perfectly. They have few meat dishes, but being on a fishing island this is quite normal. Highly recommended...

We did very well; it was not in our plans to have lunch in Burano, but we were surprised by the rain and a convincing restaurant manager when we looked at the menu. He convinced us, we walked in and we didn't regret it at all. Excellent local, Italian seafood, we fully enjoyed excellent seafood frying along with other equally delicious dishes and the best tiramisu we tasted in Italy (in 24 days travel from south to north). Super recommended!!

Only came to Burano for a quick look at the houses and some lunch. You get to look at all the other restaurants on the wall through town and whilst they looked fine, we decided to keep going and search out this place as it had good reviews.
It is on a quiet location but very pleasant. We shared a burrata starter, and some white wine. Followed by the shared risotto main with the lagoon fish. The risotto could be considered expensive at €23 per person, but is the same price at other restaurants. Very enjoyable sat outside with the heaters and warmed us up no end on a rather cold and windy day. Would recommend.

Excellent cuisine in this restaurant. The menu is full of interesting dishes that have certainly satisfied the palate.
The fish is very fresh, they are simple dishes of the Venetian tradition but artfully cooked. The staff is very kind and competent. Recommendation the grilled cappelunghe and the cuttlefish ink. It is better to book because it is well known and appreciated so the tables are never empty. We will definitely return!

We arrived at this restaurant by TA on the beautiful island of Burano.
Very good service, nice place and really delicious food. We basically ordered fish and seafood and paired with an excellent glass of Italian Pinot Noir.
Tiramisu desserts and bread are exquisite.
Proper RPC.

This restaurant is set on a square, a bit away from the throngs of people in the main part of Burano. The service was excellent - our waiter gave us a history of each dish we chose, and we were given good wine recommendations. The food was delicious, and the outside tables were comfortable and pleasant. It was an enjoyable experience.

The waiter is an edge, he yelled at us saying that it is forbidden to join the tables and making older people come with us stand up. According to him because it was reserved (false), the reality is that he didn’t want us to have something but to eat. Bad shapes. There is another option directly opposite IN PIAZETTA where the Lord is all love and education.

Buonasera Robeleal,
Cordiali Saluti

It all starts with the welcome: warm, everyone has a smile and is very courteous. Everyone was very attentive throughout the meal. Perfect timing. We didn't see the time passing. And what cuisine! Fresh products divinely cooked. All for a perfectly justified price. Go there with your eyes closed.
