We had lunch at Gigetto while passing through Burano and were very satisfied. Obviously I believe that it is impossible not to find a tourist place in Venice and its surroundings, but the food was good and I must say they were very kind in solving the problem of my wife's celiac disease despite the fact that they didn't have anything dedicated to her on the menu. First of all the location, Gigetto is located on the main avenue of Burano (I imagine that is at least that), you can't help but notice it with the outdoor area overlooking the canal itself. Very nice, also because the internal space is not excessively large. The service, as already mentioned, was of the highest level, with the attention given to my celiac wife worthy of note. For me a great place to taste the famous cicchetti (topped rolls in Venetian style, especially with various seafood) ! Good selection , delicious and fresh , price performance fits ( 18 € for 6 rolls ) . The buns were topped with anchovies and onion, or Octopus , or salmon or shrimp ... Mixed fried food From Gigetto to Burano.

I wanted to stop and eat at Gigetto because I was looking for a place along a canal. Ordered mixed fry and polenta and cod. I was very happy with my fry which was nice and plentiful and not like sometimes they bring you a fry where you can count the things you eat. Good service, the only complaint is that with the frying there would have been a plate to deposit the remains of the fish. which I suggested to whoever served us. Ate well and paid the right price.

Crap. While it gathers people and has good reviews on google the ciccheti set was indulgently miserable, tasteless and not at all fresh. It is a shame in such a beautiful place that they do not respect the traveler who honors them with his presence. I do not recommend it under any circumstances.

Osteria discovered by chance and instinct, after visiting the nearby Church of San Martino. I really appreciated the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff, fully enjoying the six different cicchetti proposed, with various types of bread, and the delicious Hugo spritz! To return!!!

Perfect lunch, good value, great service

We were looking for lunch and came across this little restaurant at far end of Burano. What a great find, we had a perfect lunch. Simple food, we tried a local fish made into a creamy type of pate on polenta to start which we enjoyed and would recommend. However, on receiving our main dishes, which were generous in size we probably did not need a starter. The fried calamari, with fried vegetables and polenta was excellent, lots of tender fresh fish and vegetables, very lightly battered and delicately fried. So good. The troffie pasta with pesto was very good too. With 2 glasses of wine each and expresso the bill came to 52 euros. Very good value. Service was friendly and very efficient. Would totally recommend.

Visiting Burano is a unique experience, which is further enriched if you stop to taste the typical flavors of the place. Fresh ingredients and great flavours. The cicchetti and linguine with clams are highly recommended, the house white wine is also excellent. Fair prices especially considering the magical place. Super helpful, kind and professional staff. Absolutely an experience to do!

Osteria, cicchetteria, Venetian bacaro. Informal place with paper placemats and cutlery in a case as required by the aforementioned categories. Quick and fast service managed by good and friendly guys. Location Burano. There is nothing else to add, it deserves 5 stars. Good, well-prepared food with generous portions. An appetizer of 6 cicchetti divided in two. A first course with squid ink, a mixed fry, two glasses of prosecco, a small beer, a bottle of water, two coffees. Practically even if for two a complete set €75. Perhaps the only flaw is the price. It is also a cicchetteria in style and atmosphere with restaurant prices.

Good for fritto misto

The prices of cicchetti per unit here is more expensive than Venice and looks nothing special at all. However, a local living nearby, recommended it for one thing and one thing only. Fritto misto. She was so right! Not only is it fab value at £15, it is so light on oil and so tasty! You get plenty tempura style veggies, pepper, sweet potato, aubergine, etc and prawns, calamari, cod, sardines, and even piece of polenta - all very very good! Heartily recomnend for the fritto.

Out of the way gem!

Found this place during our brief visit to Burano. A little out of the way and well worth it! The ciccetti selection was great, and sippong a spritz along the canal and brilliantly colored houses made for a memorable afternoon. Definitely worth a visit!

The reviews had me go to this locale. Burano was not very busy this day nor was the restaurant full, but the wait staff behaved like they had served thousands of patrons and any question regarding the menu was a distraction. The cicchetti were average, not one really stood out. Not worth a return trip

Amazing food and super nice staff

We chose this place by chance, outside the main road in Burano. The restaurant is super cute and well located, next to one of the small cannals. Very pitoresque. The place has a tradicional and cosy vibe and the food was delicious, with their seafood specialities and super well presented. We took a antipasti with seafood mix and main dish pasta with clams. The server was super attentive and kind, we had a great time!! Grazzie mille!

Quiet picturesque place for drinks

Stopped by for a few afternoon drinks here onside a quiet and very pretty canal. Lovely to sit outside and admire the pretty houses opposite. Wine and spritz very reasonable and lovely and cold. We didn’t eat here. Only gripe here was that service was slow. My last drink didn’t even show up as the waitress was more interested in a larger group of locals with their children rather than a couple of tourists which was a shame
