Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had two sets of the day: big one and smaller one. The first courses were ok: tasty pasta and clams. One of the main courses, however, was not good at all: grilled St. Peter's fish tasted like it was prepared on a dirty grill. Second, grilled sword fish was dry. Fish were served with a bowl of veggies. For that price we expected something better.
Good grissini and wine.

Came over to this lovely colourful island for lunch. Booked ahead for lunch here and when we turned up it was pretty empty. Within 30 minutes a big group of Japanese tourists turned up and filled the place. So very popular. The boss and his wife were friendly and the food good. Enjoyable experience.

Good family restaurant, don't be put off by the large groups eating here, they still look after you and provide great local cuisine at a good price.

Food took to long more than 1 hour to come, not great and one in the group could not eat. Also charged cobierto but no bread or something else and even wanted to charge it for the person that did not eat. Never again!

Day trip to Burano. We chose this place as it was a little off the main street, quiet and ventilated. Terrible spaghetti alla pescatora, tasteless fish, not fresh. The pasta seemed reheated because it arrived lukewarm and overcooked (€42...). In short, an extremely touristy place, it's better to do the usual bacari tour as you can never go wrong. Avoid!

STAY AWAY! Tourist trap! We ordered grilled fish (dorado) for stellar price of 26$. We were served a tiny piece, which the waiter proudly called “a fillet”, surrounded by scraps of tomatoes and 3 mini slices of zucchini. Copper too is 3 euro, payment in cash only. Never coming back.

If you want to get away from the crowded restaurants on Burano’s main street, keep walking until there is a left turn. Now you are getting into more of the residential (and colorful) part of the island. Cross over the small bridge and keep walking along the canal. In a few minutes, you will come to Ristorante da Forner owned by Giorgio and Sandro Basso. It has both outside and inside seating, it is not crowded as most people sstop at the more touristy spots. They have a nice a la carte menu as well as two set menus. I was in a rush (guides never give you much time in lovely Burano) and selected a 4 course set menu for 25 euro. I explained that I was in a rush and asked to be served quickly. No problem. The courses kept coming and the food was fresh, well prepared and delicious. I would have liked a nicer dessert rather than 4 cookies, but I was happy with the meal and the service. I would eat here again.

This is a great restaurant in every way. It is next to a canal but also in a calm area of Burano. You can enjoy great service, great Italian food and drinks in a peaceful place.
If you want to enjoy great and genuine pasta but your kids are picky, this is the place for you since there is also a chicken cutlet and fries on the menu.
Servers in this family owned restaurant are friendly with a sense of humor.
Our lunch at Da Forner was one of the best moments of the entire one week trip to Venice and Garda lake.
We had the salmon pasta with ruccola, shrimp with zucchini pasta and a chicken cutlet with fries.
The dessert menu is small with Tiramisu, torta della Nonna, merengue, tartufo and the special Burano cakes.
All you need is their incredibly light and excellent tiramisu and a cappuccino anyway.
We greatly rekommend this restaurant!

This dining experience was a wonderful Italian way of welcoming us with food and wine!
The food was exceptional! Pasta with smoked salmon, pasta Bolognese and pasta with shrimp were the first course followed by shrimp and calamari delicately cooked to perfection.
Home made vino and limoncello were the finishing touches to an awesome lunch by the canal! Mille Grazie to the staff and owners who we were able to personally thank! A slight bit off the main drag but so well worth it!!!!

This is a small place along a canal in a beautiful and very peaceful part of Burano. The set menus were very good value for a three course meal (€20-€28).
The food itself was authentic Venetian cusine, with fresh and flavourful seafood, served promptly by a very friendly waiter.
My family and I would very much recommend this restaurant for a delicious lunch, slightly away from the more crowded tourist areas.

Had read good recommendations about this place a little away from the tourist area of Burano. There was also quiet, we were the only guests.
Friendly owners, a somewhat tired and old-fashioned interior.
The food was in the more expensive end and did not live up to expectations. It was very simple and under-medium according to what else we have tasted in Venice. Not a place to travel for.
We would give it 2.5 Ace.

An excellent restaurant on the Venetian island of Burano, with a friendly chef and staff. The products are fresh and everything is homemade. I ate some excellent linguine with seafood, I recommend it!

On the ferry home and felt the want to write a review. If you are in Venice, come to Burano and come to this restaurant. A very well run family restaurant with local seafood served fresh. The whole place is stunning, as is the situation of this eatery. We really had a wonderful time, so would thoroughly recommend it.

The food here was great but very overpriced! After spending 22 euros per plate on seafood pasta (with a minimum order of 2 plates), they added on 3.50 euro per person as a cover charge! Total rip off.
