Nice location, but the pasta tasted only salt, and the seafood was the same. Felt like boxfood put in a frier.... The coffee was ok. So I would not go here again.

The food was good, some things better than others. The salad was disappointing, the fried seafood/fish dish was very good and the pasta was good as well. The place is located away from all the fuss at Burano which is a big plus. However, English is an issue there (menu has no English and neither does the staff who were... More

We discovered this restaurant 3 years ago and made it a priority to visit for lunch on this trip. Located by a canal, it is very relaxed, with few passers-by to interrupt your meal. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and good value. This restaurant has been recommended in Les Routards guide for the past 5... More

Absolutely lovely restaurant, hidden away from the most touristy areas of this beautiful island. Set menues, but great food and excellent value. We had lunch outside by the canal, and went for two different options of the daily menue, both were really tasty and cost only EUR 25 per person (starter, main and dessert). Travelling with a 5 year old... More

Lovely setting by a canal away from the main tourist trail. Family run restaurant with good menu. Not cheap, but similar to most Venetian prices and we enjoyed the food which was well cooked and presented and the house red was very drinkable. We ate outside, but there are many more tables inside if the weather is inclement. The toilets... More

Tucked away on F Terranova past the main "shopping opportunity" this is a delight. This was our third visit and the quality and service remain very good. Be warned they do not take credit cards so be sure you are carry cash. It is worth the effort.

This restaurant is worth seeking out as the location, if you sit outside to eat is superb. It is so peaceful and quiet and the location by the water is perfect. The food is Italian and the lunch menu is limited but very good. It is local produce cooked and presented well. Service is good and staff are friendly. Prices... More

When you arrive in Burano, avoid the first restaurants you'll find. Walk a little bit further and you'll find Da Forner. A very nice restaurant, far from the tourists. A little quiet terrace where you'll enjoy very nice food and affordable prices. The staff is really friendly. One of the best places to eat in Venice. We recommend !

During our stay in Burano end April 2015, we are thankful to have found Giorgio and Sandro Basso who run the restaurant da Forner in Fondamenta Terranova 130; situated in a quiet street, away from the busy commercial center; the shrimp plate was well garnished and tasty, we liked the grilled swordfish with vegetables; the red house wine was of... My wife Janet and I celebrated every possible birthday and anniversary at this ristorante, until her death in 2012. Should one go back? Yes! They made a fuss of me and I enjoyed the meal as I always had. A la carte, and set menus at 20 and 25 Euro. Morning/lunch only: Cash only; closed Wed Well worth seeking out,... More
