Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Day trip to several islands including Burano, famous for its typical biscuits. Tasty, there are various shops where you can buy excellent quality cookies without having to spend a lot. Slightly higher price than another shop we visited.

Passing by on our brief stop on Burano the wife decided it was snack time and a couple of cannoli later we were all sorted. Decent variety for a small shop and very tasty snacks and pastries.

16/10/2024 I'm in Burano and what do you usually take home in memory? Lace? No, the famous and amazing Buranei Bussolai, they're in the right place and in the top of the stores, I thought... I take 1 kg of biscuits, the big ones, nice round ones, the right color, I spend 15 € and already my mouth is watering... Memories of boy, times gone by, come back to me... I'm home, I open the package and... Deep disappointment, full, but full of butter, the flavor light years away from the real bussolai and I am Venetian, not foreign! I hope it was a wrong dough, I hope it is not one of the many shops that have lost quality in the name of profit and turned into tourist shops... Too bad, I'm really sorry! I would like this review to improve the store and maybe before buying various sweets, maybe you can ask for a taste ... 😉

We just happened to drop into this delightful Cookie shop/Patisserie and tried some Bussolai. These are "O" or "S" shaped Cookies that are from Burano. probably not as famous as Burano lace or its multi-colored houses but maybe better. We picked up a few cookies and the lady behind the counter was very nice though did not speak much english. Just a few Euro for a fantastic sweet treat. In retrospect- we should have picked up a few packages for gifts back home.

The famous Burano S-shaped cookies (bussola) are absolutely wonderful with coffee, or alone. My husband and I went to the bakery just to try the cookies to see if we liked them. We each got our own, but one would have been enough just to share and sample. The size of the cookie is very generous. My husband doesn't really do sweets, and he love the cookies, and so did I. I am now experiencing recipes I found on the internet to create this wonderful memory!

Someone recommended this bakery to us for their cookies. We stopped in and sampled a variety of sweets. The cannolis and cookies we tried were incredibly flavorful. They looked very plain but the buttery sweetness made us glad we popped in. Very friendly service.

We came to buy some local sweet specialties from the Venezian island of Burano. The shop is full with plenty of variations which are also great as gifts.

So much choice... Dolci pizzette biscottini ... They no longer knew what to choose. After opting for a very good almond paste and dried fruit cake, we asked about the characteristic biscuits of Burano and the really super nice lady offered to make us taste them still hot fresh from the oven.
