Great experience overall. We start by having cocktails at the bar with an astonishing view on the garden then moved to the restaurant for the showtime! That's exactly what I love about 3 Michelin Stars Restaurants, the perfection of the show, because of course we're...not paying this big amount of money just to eat food. Obviously the food was amazing, my favorites was the signature dish "Aïoli Moderne" with the sabayon who was unbelievable and the pigeon. Service was perfect. The only bads points goes to the veal who was little under the other dishes and the dessert with tomatoes, olives and fennel that I didn't really like but it was original though. Congrat's Christophe Bacquié Team ! PS : Thanks for the complimentary lemon cake it was flawless!More

Very friendly reception by the satff, excellent service, present but not .obnoxious. Our many course lunch was just exraodinary with very refined flavors, beautifully dressed dishes and a very elaborate gradation of wines by the glass. We will definitely be back. The only negative point...compared to other similar restaurants is that the chef did not come to the tables and have a few words with his clients.More

Hotel du Castellet is not in the downtown of Le Castellet, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and is located beside of the airport of Le Castelett and the Paul Ricard Circuit. It is well-organized hotel with pools and spa, and very gorgeous. What's more, It also has 6 hole...golf course in the site of the hotel. Restaurant Christoph Baquie is the gastronomic restaurant of the hotel. We selected “Au Fil des Années, Over the years” and I ordered wine paring, too. They served many and different amuse-bouche. Of course, they were tasty. We enjoyed local vegetables, Mediterranean octopus, and pigeon. They prepared good local wines, which were delightful for me.More

We ate the seafood menu with wine pairing as lunch as a family. There were several issues; 1. Dishes were presented with no regard to allergy clearly stated at the beginning of the meal. Luckily found out before eating and dishes were replaced. 2. Wine...pairings were wrong as wine was presented as perfect match for langoustini while dish was sea urchin. 3. Waiters Tried to collect dishes in a rush before we had chance to finish the food 4. Raspberry desert had several black hairs in both plates. One plate was replaced but when asked for a different dish it was refused. For a 800+ euro lunch in a Michelin 3 star restaurant the combination of these mistakes is simply not acceptable and begs the question whether this restaurant was ready for the 3 star game and expectations. It’s not bad per se, just with lot of human error which would be fully forgivable in a causal bistro but in a 3 star restaurant. When brought to restaurant manager attention he sincerely apologized but said that there is nothing he can do as hotel GM manages and decides everything. Hotel GM was not at the hotel and refused to talk to us. A small discount to the final bill was given.More

Three stars in the Michelin means we expect the highest possible standard. The food was very good but we expected more creativity. €185 for the menu was not expensive. Amuses were excellent, fish slightly overdone, meat very good but lacked creativity, dessert was creative. However,...the wine list ruined our experience: €48 for the cheapest glass of champagne is absurd. Worse was €90 for a bottle of Provencal wine that is available in every supermarket for €9,50. The Cote-Rotie we ordered was just a cheap village wine at a silly price. I have no problem with a mark-up but the winelist had too many cheap wines at ridiculous prices. To be fair, the sommelier did change the Cote Rotie. Given the three stars in the Michelin we expected superlative quality in everything and of course you pay for the art of a great chef but the wine list was a let down.More

- When we arrived we were basicly NOT ALLOWED to visit the garden of the restaurant, because the chef DOESN’T LIKE when clients are late!!!! - We were NOT ALLOWED to choose the menu we wanted, because the chef PREFERS WHEN EVERYONE FROM ONE TABLE...CHOOSE THE SAME MENU! - There was a surveillance camera directly above our table. - Food... there was not any dish that I could remember even a day after, except the bread. The bread - focaccia, was really tasty. But we go to such restaurant not just for bread... - Mosquitos - you pay more than a thousand euros and during the dinner you have to run after mosquitos and kill them. and at the end you go out totally beaten... They could use essential oils to keep the space free of mosquitos. - In the middle of the terrace a huge tree is cut down... you can see the tree stump in between the tables... - A family member invited us, but the reservation by phone was made by another person and it cost 400€. What was very disturbing is that when the person who invited us saw the invoice it was minus 400€. It means when reservation was made they automatically charged the amount. This put both persons in a very uncomfortable situation - one was not expecting to pay this amount and the other one who invited felt Very bad knowing that the invitee was obliged to pay...! (Usually if cancelation costs money it should be charged only in case of cancelation or not appearing) P.S. an image as a proof of visiting the restaurant and the camera is in the corner on the right from the vertical barsMore
