Stopped off for lunch and opted for the menu of the day four courses each with a choice and a drink with coffee, the menu was I am pleased to say SPANISH and not the Euro trash served in the port, the pork with beans was lovely and the main of chicken cooked in the oven was beautiful, pity it... Went here for dinner and waited for a while to order, but got our drinks. When taking our order I asked for fried anchovies (like whitebait). No we don't have, ok I'll have the cod , no we don't have. Turned out from 10 fish dishes they had only sea bass . Had a couple of starters , not great.... More

We had 4 excellent meals here this evening. The carbonara was the best I've had anywhere in the world....muy bueno! The desserts were also superb. Lovely, friendly & speedy service too. Highly recommended for reasonably priced, excellent quality food.

We had 2 course dinner with my spouse. Didn't really feel like trying the dessert after the semi ok onion soup and poor lasagne. Aioli served with bread was yummie though. The onion soup was rather tastless and watery. But seriously, lasagne... It was served on a plate with salad and french fries (why?) and tasted as if it was... More

For a decent Menu del dia, Juan Chara is lovely. It was lovely to sit out front and just watch the world go by as we ate in relaxed surroundings...

One bolognaise and one lasagne from the menu were extremely disappointing. The bolognaise tasted so sweet it could have been a pudding, the lasagne resembled a £1 supermarket creation from the chiller and tasted awful. We would not go back to this restaurant

When in Isla Plana we occasionally call into this little restaurant for lunch . The owner is always friendly and obliging as are his staff. The food is always freshly prepared and the menu is varied, there are four courses on offer for €9.50 including wine which is excellent value.

Unfortunately we visited for lunch on a day that La Chara, the neighbour to Juan Chara was closed and believed that the experience of the former could be matched...how disappointed we were. Not only is the restaurant not of a similar quality, the service and food needs a lot to be desired and resembled that of cafeteria food, rather than that...
