When chef owner Isabel from Alicante (Eastern Spain) moved to a town in Badajoz (Western Spain) 12 years ago to be near her husband’s family, the first thing she noticed was that there were no restaurants in the area serving rice dishes in the style that she grew up with in the Valencia Community.
Yesterday, while visiting this small town, my husband and I decided to share a rice dish with duck under the cool shade by the square in front of the historic and grand Nuestra Señora de La Asuncion Cathedral. Well, having the rice certainly felt like a bite of heaven, perfectly cooked with the duck flavors absorbed into the rice with seasonal vegetables to compliment! Isabel’s cheerful and attentive service despite the full lunch crowd made us feel at home and relaxed. For dessert, her homemade cheesecake with a cookie crust was the perfect sweet contrast to end a sumptuously delightful meal. We can’t wait to have another meal at Becada before returning to our home base in Barcelona!

Great food, you have to try the morcilla de Guadalupe launch con patatas y pimentón De la Vera, which is black pudding for you Brits out, but not like you have had before. Staff are super friendly, cannot wait to my next visit

Ya de inicio, por alguna razón que no podemos solventar y mire que lo intentemos, el olor, en ocasiones es latente en la sala. No es lo normal y le pedimos disculpas, de veras.
El aceite, lo cambiamos todas las semanas, y siempre está limpio, no filtramos. Lamento de nuevo esta sensación con este.
Nos alegramos de veras, de que el servicio fuese bueno y correcto, ponemos mucho empeño en tratar a nuestros clientes como en su casa.
Por favor, no descarte volver, como podrá ver en los comentarios de todos estos años, no es lo habitual desprender malas sensaciones.
