My wife and I enjoyed a stunning meal here during Easter Weekend. It was made all the more special by the time we spent with the manager at the bar before taking our seats to dine. Food was exceptional, great romantic atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

Visited twice last week. Once myself and our 13 year old son and then all four of us when my husband arrived with 16 year old son. Absolutely delicious food both times and we all thought so. The eldest son is particular and loved it. We felt the atmosphere was very relaxed but nice upmarket feel to the layout without... More

The Brandysnap Bistro at Thornton Le Dale is simply superb. Have been here a number of times and the food never ceases to impress my wife and I. The owners and staff are very friendly and most obliging. It is the only restaurant that I have been to in years where I actually want to eat three courses because I... More

The food and company here was so good it prompted me to do my first review on TripAdvisor. A very welcoming bistro with top notch food. I had lamb which was divine. Leave room for pudding because the homemade ice cream is utterly superb, with the Rhubarb flavour being top of the shop. Book now you will not be disappointed.

Really nice food in a cosy restaurant. Owner and staff are very obliging and pleasant. The menu varies a little according to season. You need to book as it doesn't have a large seating capacity.

I booked as a special birthday treat for partner and we had a wonderful evening. We were made to feel welcome and pondered the menu in very comfortable surroundings. The service was exceptional and the food delicious. Can't wait to return - thank you.

We visited the restaurant in November whilst spending 2 days in Thornton le Dale. The food was lovely well presented, the Starter of a cheese soufflé was sublime, Adam was so helpful with helping us pick a wine, opening further wines for us to try, something you don't seem to get these days, a personal service with a passion to...
