Our favorite restaurant in Banlung

In our opinion, this restaurant is the best in Banlung as it has a beautiful lake view and is well maintained. The food is expensive as it is part of the Ratanakiri Boutique Hotel, but it is good, clean and the staff are extremely friendly. We spent four nights at this hotel and had breakfast and most of our dinners here.

Great views of the lake, Great breakfast

Eat here for breakfast and dinner a few timer. Breakfasts are fabulous, reasonable prices too. Omelette with vegetables, including baguette and jam, plus free pot of tea and a side plate of fruit for $3. Dinner menu was more expensive, Great range to choose from with lots of local and western choices available. Steer clear of the cheeseburger, unless you want a 2oz burger with lots of salad and not many fries for $6. Fried noodles with chicken/veg much better at $3.

We went have late dinner because restaurant next to hotel we stay and went back for breakfast in the morning. Restaurant got nice view over look to the lake. Food was good.

Fun place to eat

We enjoyed sitting here and sipping a beer. Good Khmer and some western food. It can be busy with tourists or partying locals but at 10 PM all noise stops.

Had breakfast here as it was right in front of the hotel. Ordered fried pork with rice and I got a plate of fried rice with pork (and an egg). Didn’t bother to point out the mistake as we were in a hurry. There was nothing special to it. Service was ok - eventually got a pot of tea towards the end of the meal... Great view of the lake. Was deserted in the evening.

Most delicious kway teow in Cambodia!

When we first got to this place (very nicely right next door to our guesthouse) we thought it was a bit pricey for khmer breakfast, however, it was the best noodle soup I've eaten and so we went back again the next day at 6am before we left to get some more!! The manager was really friendly and hospitable, the other staff a bit shy with foreigners. But overall great, plus a beautiful view of the lake.

Better places in town

We stayed in the city centre, so this restaurant (near the lake, with beautiful views) is rather far. In Banlung there are just a few TukTuks so you have to walk or rent a bike. We were the only couple. The staff couldn't speak English and the pointed at the kitchen. After 5 minutes (we nearly went away) a boy came a spoke English. After that we could indeed eat here and grab a table. It's rather cheap, but our both fried rice with Chicken weren't nice and rather cold. With some salt and pepper it was OK. Staff wasn't very helpful and to busy filling the coolers with new bears.

Excellent restaurant

This restaurant was really nice. We came back twice because the hotel was close and that it was very good. We ate on a terrace, with a lake view. The food was very good and not expensive. There was a billard in the restaurant so we played few time. If you go to Banlung eat at Pteas Bay Khmer

Great restaurant

Restaurant is now associated to ratanakiri hotel and we were fortunate to have breakfast here, sizeable and delicious. Dinner was good to, definitely recommend the fried noodles and pork. They also do a delicious iced coffee.

The restaurant is now linked to the hotel ratanakiri boutique hotel and we went there twice for lunch. I had the best soups ever! It's highly recommended and the view of the lake is relaxing. You can't not go!
