My gorgeous queen took me here for my birthday meal. First impressions were very good, very welcoming gentleman greeted us and offered us a drink or to go direct to our table, we choose the latter. Service was a little slow from then, although there is a note within the menu that states you have to wait 20/25 minutes if... More

We had lunch here earlier this week with some friends. It was a place they had visited many years ago, and remembered how good it was, and thought it would be a good place to meet. On driving into the car park on a rather grey drizzle morning it was lovely to see the colourful pots of spring flowers around... More

Warm welcome from helpful friendly staff on arrival. An Inn full of atmosphere and interest, Weekday menu has a good choice and is excellent value We had two courses (starter & main) for £14.95 each, All dishes were well presented, good portions and thoroughly enjoyed. Sadly we couldn't manage a dessert and the choice was mouth watering.! Just means we... More

The outside of the pub/restaurant is so pretty. Inside is warm and welcoming. The staff are polite, knowledgeable and non intrusive. We had steak and ale pie which was gorgeous, I could taste every flavour described on the menu, the Rich gravy, flavoured with blue cheese, and tender pieces of meat, all nestled between two sheets of flaky, buttery pastry. The vegetables... More

Our first time to the Jackson Stops. Often been recommended but never organised until now. So glad we did. Its a hidden jewel. Quaint, personal, cosy, warm are just some of the words I use to describe it. Great food. Lots of GF options. Will be going back soon. Highly recommend.

Another fantastic meal at the Jackson Stops. Delicious and beautifully presented food; attentive and friendly staff; a perfect, cosy country pub with roaring log fire. We are so lucky to have the Jackson Stops on our doorstep!

Went with another couple for meal out on Saturday night. Been several times before and have always enjoyed the food. We were seated near another table of rather loud individuals whom preferred to shared their conversations with us all rather than amongst themselves!! (Nothing the pub can do about this) bit we were shouting over them to hear each other.... More

Thanks for taking the time to review our restaurant, and for your positive comments. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the kedgeree, as you state, it just wasn't to your taste - food is a massively subjective issue. This dish is very popular and is usually very well received but we would have happily replaced it, as we offer several vegetarian... More

My friend and I usually meet up about once a month in Stamford for a chat and a nice meal. This time we thought we would go to the Jackson Stops. We both ordered the home cooked Venison and Stilton pie with flaky pastry which came with hand cut chips and a selection of fresh vegetables. The pie was divine!... More
