Had lunch there everyday and found it excellent, fresh, varied and very friendly. Perfect and no fuss but enjoyable. Fish is so fresh that it practically jumps when presented to you prior being cooked,

We stopped here on the recommendation of a friend with a house in the area and wern't disappointed. We split a bottle of procecco and a dozen oysters on their lovely outdoor patio.

We had a workmanlike lunch at La Taverna di Umberto in the little town of Savelletri on a September afternoon. We ate out on the terrace. We had a decent glass of white wine while they served great olives as an appetizer. I had the spiedo miste (mixed grill of cuttlefish, prawns, and octopus), and my wife had a large... More

This was not on our hotel recommended list and you needed passable Italian to enjoy it, but, we saw how many Italians ate there and gave it a go. This is not refined food; it is good Taverna style fare and the pastas are good and interesting. It will not hurt the pocket either as it was cheaper than higher... More

We loved the food and enjoyed sitting outside and watching the world go by. Worth trying if you're staying in the area.

Busy restaurant I recommend to eat outside. fish was good while pasta was not exceptional even if orecchiette, local specialities. Be ready to spend long time there, service is extremely slow. Friendly but they clearly take their time.

The food here is good, no question about it, but it takes FAR too long to be prepared. The excuse of Italian "slow food" cannot even be applied as I was still left waiting over 30mins for a Caprese salad to arrive! If you are planning on drinking heavily, love sitting down, or are trying to waste a couple of... More

Ate here this evening with my wife and 2 children. We sat down at 8pm, were given our menu and some bread and olives immediately, little did we know everything else would take so long. All we ordered were some bruschetta to start which took best part of 45minutes to arrive. My main meal came promptly after we finished but... More
