Poor food, although the prices were reasonable and the setting is good. I'm sure there are much better places to eat here.

At the center of this beautiful village, this place could be so much more, but it isn't. The food is poor, just good enough if you're hungry and it costs a lot more than it should. The service is OK. I wouldn't return here so I can't recommend it. It is surely not indicative of the great food you can... More

First, the setting: you can't improve on it if you tried. The tables are well spaced under the shade of enormous old trees and they look out, or rather down, at the city of Volos and and the blue Aegean sea. The view is jaw dropping gorgeous. The service was efficient and friendly and the food was very tasty and... More

Central location in the main square of Makrinitsa with amazing views of Volos and Pagasetic Gulf. Perfect for a cup of coffee and a nice traditional sweet under the shade of the huge trees!

We enjoyed our meal here (paidakia, patates), but the best thing of all, after the heat and traffic down in Volos, was the peace and quiet, and the pure, blessedly cool mountain air.

It is really a pity that a place in such a beautiful setting with a great view has so terrible service. We visited for coffee and sweets and ended up leaving in just 30 mins after having just drunk the coffee. It took 20 mins to take our order. There were only 3-4 waiters for a restaurant that can easily... More

Came here with friends and our 13month old son. We sat inside as it was chilly outside. The inside is open, high ceilingend room. They don't have high chairs for babies, but we had a cloth one. The food was very good, especially the beef in yoghurt and cheese oven pot and the roast goat. The price was a little... More

We came here on a guided tour. A stunning village set high in the hills. The restaurant is in the main square which is gorgeous and makes you just want to blend with the locals and chill out with a drink and enjoy the view. Little chance of that as a pale faced Englishman. I’m sure you get what I... More

The view was wonderfull. The road to get there was a trip itself..seeing the clifs so close and the houses built on the edges of the clifs was just amazing!!

The location of this restaurant is superb. It is right in the centre of the beautiful square. It functions both as a Café and a restaurant serving Traditional Local Dishes. As a café it is excellent. We did not come here for lunch but only had some coffee and dessert. MENU: Dishes however like Mousaka, the famous Spetsofai, Lamb in... More
