Tasty lunch with friendly service

For quick, tasty and satisfying lunch I have never been disappointed at Sofra Kebab. My lunch was freshly made in 10 minutes and it was delicious. Lamb and beef combination with mild chilli and mint sauces was excellent. The man serving was friendly and engaging. There is a 15min parking lane on the side of SH1 and then it is just 50m walk to the restaurant, for people who don’t want to turn off the main road.

New owners = huge improvement!

Forget the older reviews here, we are locals and eat here once a week. New owners are awesome, friendly, the place is clean and tidy and the food is always great, such good value for money. We always come here when we need to feed a crowd too. Highly recommend.

Good good and service

Stopped in on the way up the coast and was pleasantly surprised. We got falafel and mixed kebabs and they were great. Good fillings and sauces. We had a good chat with the owner while we were waiting. Will be back.

Disappointing.

Ordered two $19 Iskenders, took 25minutes to make. It came cold, very little meat, overcooked rice & two pathetic small cold white wraps folded. Absolutely not worth the price. Will never go again.

Service was fine but food hygiene and quality really not up to scratch. One guy served us at the till and then put the kebab wrap on the stove top with uncovered hands and in between he was touching his face and hat. While heating the wrap he kept putting his hand on it to move it. Pretty poor. Definitely no hand washing or gloves in sight. Meat was very small bits - mince really - and quite tasteless and watery. The salads seemed fresh but the ratio of meat to salad was really poor for $14 kebab. My wife's salad was worse. They also only wrap kebabs in paper so all the sauces run out and make a mess everywhere. Won't be back.

The service was really good. The guy was friendly and joking around. However the food was really bad, as others have mentioned cold, soggy and bland. Not worth the money for sure.

cold and soggy

I had high expectations, and the person making the kebab was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the kebabs were tasteless, cold and completely soggy. So full of lettuce and carrot, barely any meat and the sauces were watery. For a family of four, we spent around $60 so definitely not a cheap takeaway.

Disappointing

Went in with high expectations and left feeling disappointed. Kebab was cold and went soggy very quickly. Meat was bland which was a real shame because the guy who served us was very friendly. Maybe we visited on an off day.

Yummy and fresh

Beautiful fresh kebab. I had falafel with beetroot salad and garlic yogurt. It's nice to have a kebab which isn't mostly filled with lettuce. Just off SH1. Recommended!
