We gathered as a family to celebrate getting together after lockdown ended. We are well looked after by our server, however the coffee was very, very slow being made, in fact it arrived after our food was finished. The hummus toast, seafood chowder and eggs florentine are recommended, very tasty and well presented. The children's meals were very generous, too much for our children, more suited to older kids.

Stopped in for Friday night dinner, ordered drinks and dinner at the bar. Food arrived in a reasonable time (they did have trouble finding us as a staff member asked us to move table and didn’t update our location so our meals could come to us. Gnocchi was good flavour pretty good and a good temperature, the salt and pepper squid was only warm but flavour was ok, Te seafood chowder was a complete let down the picture on their website shows nice fresh seafood in the shells what arrived was a slop of rubbery squid and chopped mussels (presumably frozen given how tough they were) and only like warm and the flavour and seasonings only average. After the poor mains we skipped dessert. This is our local and have been many times before and have been very happy so not sure what has happened.

We visited The Co-Op Kitchen & Bar on the recommendation of friends and were very pleased we did. We found the quality of the food, the staff and service to be of a very good standard. There is plenty of free car parking immediately outside. Even though the pub was very busy the service was excellent. The food was very good. There were several groups present however, the size of the restaurant and seating arrangements meant that everyone was well catered for. We will definitely return.

Food took forever in a not very busy restaurant, then was raw, partially cooked and not much on the plate. Raw chicken nuggets, raw kumara wedges, raw and partially cooked potato, tiniest bit of pork on the pork belly with a large piece of uncooked fat. Ordered chicken schnitzel with no salad but extra potato, was lucky if more than 3 tablespoons of mash and very small schnitzel.... but luckily it was cooked. Overall very disappointing, would have rather had Maccas. In most food places if a table complained this much the Manager would be on hand to apologize... nothing of the sort here 🙄

Ordered Chicken schnitzel with mash and gravy which i found overly cooked and dry. Mash potatoe smelt and tasted burnt. I could have done a better job myself. Garlic bread was dry and overly toasted. Water served was warm, would’ve been nice served chilled. Coke zero ordered was flat. Friendly waiter, however i feel the chef is lacking quality in food.

We were the first patrons of the day on a quiet Monday. Were greeted nicely by the manager? behind the bar. Our server was particularly unpleasant and disinterested. Food was prompt and cooked nicely, however the garlic bread definitely had no garlic on it, and the firecracker chicken had no fire to it. In fact if it wasn't for the sauce it was flavourless. Steak for main cooked very well, as was the chicken burger. Probably won't be back in a while

Waitering staff need some serious training.! Twice the girl was too lazy to come to the closest point to the guest for serving and passed meals directly in front of the faces of other guests. Where she was unable to reach, it didn’t occur to her to ask if the “plate could be passed along please.” After a lengthy wait and asking twice, was my cocktail coming, it eventually turned up and once again was passed in front of guests faces across to me.
The food on my plate was essentially quite nice, but completely devoid of any green vegetables. I had asked the waitress to ask the chefs to cut my meat up for me (since I only have the use of one arm), which she wrote on her pad, but it was not cut up. Service was atrocious and meals and cocktails very expensive.

Went there in a group of five, service was great food was TERRIBLE! Raw chicken, raw potato, raw Kumara, raw pizza base and we were there to support local. The service was amazing but the kitchen has SERIOUS issues especially when is comes to safe food. Wouldn't go back for food.

This establishment was busy and a massive round of applause for staff as they were rushed off their feet. Due to Covid-19 we had to stay seated a few times our drinks got left at the bar and service was slow. Perhaps like other places leave a note on door just few words explaining and then our expectations would fall in line. The view is spectacular such a treasured spot. Our food came out faster then our drinks, at our table was mixed reviews. However I can only write about what I received. If you put on a menu Southern fried chicken with creamy potato mash, then that’s exactly what I’ll be expecting. I’m afraid I was so disappointed that they didn’t charge me, well actually I told them I’m not paying. I won’t go into too much detail not necessary. If you like views and a pub like experience than this is the place to visit

Some staff are totally disengaged.. customer service is absolutely appalling.. its like they dislike their job ..and waiting for knock off time ..
The table we chose was dirty and food on the floor.
A side of fries for adults is a two yr olds portion! Really?

Had a meal here with relatives on a Friday night and it was packed out with people enjoying either just a drink or having a meal. Live music was a bonus.
Service was friendly and efficient. Menu was Ok and great that they provide things for small children to do whilst waiting for food.

2 seniors and 2 adults. Got a bunch of appies to share, they were all good. Asked for the chicken wings to NOT be battered (the waiter explained they were dipped in batter then cooked, then pulled out and seasoned and cooked again), instead we just wated them tossed in flour and fried with salt n pepper. Wings came out and they were great, cook did a great job and the seniors thoroughly enjoyed them. Thanks!

They get one star because I couldn't do 0.
Had a booking for table of 10 today for mother's day.arrived on time, they seated us and ordered within 10mins. We order drinks, starters mains. Drinks were a mix of iced chocolates and cokes, 45 mins in we finally get our drinks! 30 mins later we get 3 of our starters, 2 cob loafs and satay beef. 5 mins later our mains start arriving along with the platters which should have been bought out with the starters. My kids are pretty hungry by this time, so I tell them not to wait, just eat when yr meal comes out. I'm the last to get mine, by this time the first served have already finished eating. Wanted to order more drinks, but no one came to ask, but by this time I was over it. Meals were average, some below average.
Staff not friendly, no smiles, not welcoming, worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I realise it's mother's day and yr busy, but a smile is free and keeping us updated would have gone along way. I should have just stayed home in my PJs and ordered uber eats from somewhere else. Wish I had have taken photos, but just wanted to be done with it and leave

Our strawberry blond american-accented female waitress appeared bored by us at first and then became grumpier as the night went on. Our food was average and without flavour in taste or generosity in size. It definitely wasn't worth what we paid. Our previous visit here in early 2019 was great however our recent visit will be our last as unfortunately the Co-op has gone sadly downhill.

Problems as soon as we arrived . Grumpy staff no one took drink orders . Paid for at the bar. Finally got food orders taken . An hour after we got there I adult and I child order arrived. After 20 min we asked about the others the wait person accidentally “ didn’t order them” ! In between times we had paid at the bar again as no table service for 2 drinks had to go up three times to remind them. The word on the one wop burger that we got don’t bother 2 out of 10 . The apology from the edit person genuine . However we left
