Ate at Kalanie's with our party of 25 and the service and food was excellent. The waitstaff was very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in Lake Tahoe.

We come to Kalani's every year when we visit South Lake Tahoe and it has been the same for the last ten years. Good food, good service and great atmosphere. Sushi is a little hit and miss, depends on the chef, but overall it is a great restaurant. Cocktails are strong and go down easy.

We had a great meal here! Our server was excellent and it was a nice change of pace from a lot of the other Heavenly Village places. This was a more adults only type of place. Our food was very good, but my only complaint was that it was a bit small of a portion for the price, so a... More

We spend ½ year in Hawaii so my wife's brother took us here for dinner. Food was average but was priced as if it was fine dining. I'd pass on it next time due to cost.

No menus left when we arrived . Took a long time to get service however restaurant was not full. Butter was rancid. Pointed out to waiter, smiled and left it on table. Food mediocre and small portions. Slow slow slow service. Sushi was above average.

We tried Kalani twice figuring the first time the service sucked just because it was a crowded weekend. Well, the service sucked even more the second visit and the restaurant was nary half full. And the food is just barely tolerable, nowhere near tasty and creative enough for the price tag. My ahi was tasteless and chewy, almost inedible, and... More

Easy, convenient good dinner after a day skiing at Heavenly Valley. Excellent wine list to start with better prices than the local supermarket (maybe not but certainly not much more expensive). Good service from knowledgeable, competent wait staff. The food was good, although our consensus was a bit on the "bland" side of flavorful. Best dinner we had in four... More

Most upscale restaurant in heavenly village. The food was excellent. Pork belly lettuce wraps to start with was more than an appetiser portion! 3 large pieces of lettuce each with a huge piece of deliciously cooked pork belly. Sushi was fresh and creative. Signature sea bass was phenomenal. Service is very good - especially since our son has a sesame... More

We stopped by on a busy night but were lucky enough to get a place by the bar. We had great soup and salad and the service was good. The place was busy but we were well looked after. I had Lobster bisque and a delicious Beet salad, the dressing was heavenly. My partner had Ginger Carrot soup and risotto... More
