First off, they just jacked up the prices between a $1.00 to $1.50 on almost every item. The only thing it has going for the COFFEE SHOP is the coffee. Fresh pancake batter rises as it cooks, their pancakes looks like the batter was made 2 days ago, and a loud male cook who thinks he's the best. Manager did... More

Ernie's is a very nice local shop.It is a breakfast/lunch type of place. The food is served with large portions and the service is quick and friendly, with easy to handle prices. It is located on HI 50, westbound, just past the Y on the left. Easy access and great place to get breakfast or an early lunch on the... More

we asked a local to recommend a good place for breakfast/lunch that was away from the tourist area, and he directed us here. It is at the west and south side of South lake Tahoe, off the side of the road, we would have missed it if we didn't have a smartphone to direct us. It was pretty busy, but... More

We have been going to Tahoe for years, it was our first visit to Ernie's. The food was excellent. We had omelets.

I have been going to Ernie's my entire life and it has always been consistently amazing in every aspect. They are the best breakfast in Town. They are open from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday they have amazing eggs benedict. They prices are great for what you get, portions are fair and it is always... More

Recently, there was a change of the ownership of this long-time Lake Tahoe favorite. From our recent visit, it appears that everything is still as it was before--always busy, very good food and service. Hands down, the best place for breakfast at South Lake Tahoe.

Owned by long - time locals, Ernies has a great and comfortable atmosphere for breakfast or lunch. Their menu is diverse - the food is delicious - and the prices are great. My favorite breakfast place!

I was amazed at this wonderful breakfast location. Sometimes a busy place is indeed the best. It was in Ernie's case. Despite a brief wait for a table, we quickly came to understand why this was such a busy shop. Food and service was second to none.

We drove from Truckee for breakfast (about 1.5 hours with the road construction). We were a party of 10, but were seated quickly at ~10 AM. We tried many menu items, all were good to very good, service fast and attentive. Great family place.

Thank Gregg N
