It is lovely to sit on the deck overlooking the Salmon River as it flows into the ocean as you have your meal. The waitress is awesomely friendly in that folksy Nova Scotia way that I found endearing but my foreign guest was a bit put off by. The Inn boasts a German kitchen. I so looked forward to my... Separate rooms allow you to choose if you want an incredible view, privacy, or live music and locals. We sat at a table offering the best of all three. This is clearly a loved place, with a regular crowd. Very friendly. Large portions. Not sure if it's the only place open at this time of the year, but it is... More

On the way home after a long day at the beach we stopped here for dinner not knowing what to expect. We arrived later than the last sitting but they opened up their arms and fed us. They were great with our large group of kids and were gracious and friendly. If you are expecting gourmet this is not for... More

Food is great with lots of options, local,German,Canadian. Setting is beautiful, gorgeous views and sunsets over the ocean and adjacent river. On Fridays they often have local entertainment ,(Rusty is a super local singer who we really enjoyed) Great place to have a good meal, a drink or two and relax to good music .If you choose to overnight the rooms are... I always try to find something positive to write in my reviews but I'm afraid the only good things I can say are the food is good and the staff pleasant. The Inn is situated on the river but there is nothing to do, nowhere to walk, no TV in the rooms, which are very small. The grounds need tending... More

One of the first things i saw when we went into the restaurant (other than two sternly worded signboards outside) was a bowl of empty lobster claws, for sale at $10-16 per set. ???!!!! To Maritimers, aware of how easy they are to come by for free, it looks like an outrageous money grab. But the owners are European. No... More

We rode our bicycles from Sherbrooke NS. By the time we arrived at Salmon River Bridge it was foggy, cool to cold, and getting dark. They had room at the inn, thank goodness. It turned out to be delightful. Quite, very nice room and a very good restaurant. We have not problem recommending this inn.
