Very good traditional Quebecois cooking with an emphasis on game (not a good place for vegetarians). The trio of game filets mignons is excellent as are other dishes based on the deer and elk families. Get something maple-y for dessert. For some reason you can't take leftovers home with you, which you might want to keep in mind, as almost... More

We found this gem of a restaurant by chance and what a delicious meal. My husband had the filet sampler, not sure of the name but it was a filet of stag, bison, and elk. I had the seafood sampler which consisted of 2, yes 2 lobster tails, scallops and shrimp. The food was delicious and if you have room... More

Cozy place in the old city, went there for lunch in a week day, it was almost full. The food was very good too.

We are here 10 years ago. When we walked by, we had to go back. It did not disappoint. Menu was extensive. Service and food was excellent. Prices were reasonable. I rarely give a 5 out of 5 rating.

Kind of a hit and miss experience. Some of the dishes were quite good and others very average. The atmosphere is very "Olde Quebec" very close to the Chateau Frontenac. On a snowy evening it was very inviting. I guess I expected a higher quality meal. Check it out for the atmosphere but I think you can do better as... More

A taste of old Quebec. Had the escargot, crab cakes (minus mayonnaise). Entree trappers special. Bison elk. Finished with maple pie. Delicious. Recommend.

My husband and I wanted to try some authentic French Canadian cuisine and definitely found it here. Tried a five course meal and had what was recommended for an appetizer which was the three different meats rilette, which is a type of pate that consists of three different meats.. . Delish! Tried the traditional pea soup which tasted like lentil... More

third time in Quebec City. my wife and I always walked by even though it always intrigued us. the couple we were with chose it. We took the early bird special (sit down before 6 and get appetizer, meal, dessert and either a glass of wine or beer for under $20. Great options food leans towards local Quebec. Seating is... The old building is very charming and filled with history. We waited a very long time for service (bringing the menu, taking our order, bringing the food) which was perfunctory. The food was good enough but not what I would expect at these prices. I would not return. We dined elsewhere all week at other places with outstanding food and... More

A great little place with a set menu that is well designed to cater for small and larger appetites. We had a soup each - pea for me and french onion for hubby. Our main wasn't what we expected but good regardless and dessert just enough to complete the meal. Service is good, they top your bread up as many... More
