The burger was very good, the place is in a good location and we were happy with the food. It was nice sitting at a window seat and people watch.

OMG..... It was a great discovery. On a sunny day in Quebec.. I googled good poutine and I found Le Chic Shack. Goodness.. I wish I worked there. The food was just great..great.. AMAZING... Heavenly!!! We got the beef poutine, chicken burger and a salad. The drinks were home made sodas sans alcohol.... The best poutine I have ever had...... More

While enjoying a morning of sightseeing we had been told this was where to eat. We could not have been more thankful. Priding themselves on local fare, the hamburger was one of the best I have had anywhere. Juicy and flavorful you will remember this meal. The staff are fluent in many languages and we had no issues ordering. One... More

We chose to eat here as it was one of the only places open on a Sunday evening in the area! Good choice, as the burgers were good. The fries were excellent. Disappointing though as they had poutine on the menu but had "run out". Not an acceptable reason to me. Especially in the land of poutine! All in all... More

This place attracts quite a crowd and does not take reservations. We grabbed a late lunch here, so we did not have to wait for a table. The service was excellent and the place has a great vibe. While their Poutine is the main attraction, it was not our favorite dish. The burgers and home made soda were quite good.... More

On a cold wet day this is a great place for lunch. The poutine is fantastic as is the soda made here too. The homemade soup is a good warmer on a cold day. The staff are very friendly & willing to speak English to those of us who aren't bilingual.

I have been to this restaurant a few times and have always enjoyed it. It is my boyfriends favourite burger. We also enjoy the fries, homemade soda and milkshake, my favourite is the salted caramel milkshake! A great place to stop by for lunch and not too expensive.

Great and inexpensive burger place in heart of Old Town across from Hotel Frontenac. Try Le Shack and fries with Parmesan and truffle oil. Good spot for a quick lunch while out doing site seeing. Friendly and fast service. I think only open for lunch.

Description
Le Chic Shack is a new gourmet burger/milk shake restaurant opened in June 2012. We also serve poutines, fries and salads. For dessert, we offer milk shakes and ice cream sandwiches. The owners of Le Chic Shack are the sister-brother team of Lucy and Evan Price. They are also owners of the renowned Auberge Saint-Antoine and Panache restaurant in Quebec City. Located in a historic building owned by their family for five decades, Le Chic Shack reflects their culinary and interior design expertise. In creating their new restaurant, Lucy and Evan worked closely with their management team and Chef Mikael Garneau, previously of Panache, The Culinary Edge of San Francisco (California) and their local supplier base.Beyond our tasty recipes, these are some features that make Le Chic Shack stand out:* brioche buns made by local artisan baker Borderon et fils * sweet potato fries (along with fries from white potatoes)* uniquely built poutines - from side to main course dishes* milk shakes and ice cream sandwiches made with old fashioned coaticook ice cream * our own fruit sodas and ice tea* draft beer from the local Archibald brewery* draft wine selected by the sommelier of the Panache restaurant* the dynamism and energy of an open kitchen* a relaxed dining environment with tremendous views of the Chateau Frontenac through large French windowsLe Chic Shack is located on the Place d'Armes in the Vieux-Quebec (Old Quebec), facing the Chateau Frontenac and below the Musee du Fort.
