We landed in Quebec a couple of days before our cruise left and we were looking for a nice French restaurant close to our hotel. Louis-Herbert was recommended and so we walked up to it. There were 5 in our group and we were seated promptly. There appeared to be 3 main dining rooms and we were in the 3rd... More

our concierge recommended this restaurant, and unfortunately it simply was not very good. there are three rooms, each with a unique décor and ambience. the first room, at front of house is the most charming, with old exposed stone walls and views to the street, though we were seated in the second, middle room which while pleasantly decorated lacked any... My husband and I ate at 3 restaurants inside the city walls and were very disappointed in the food in this city. Then we went outside the wall to Louis Hebert restaurant. I had the Salmon and it was soooo good. Wish we had a few more nights in Quebec City, I'd return to this restaurant each night. Sat outside... More

We enjoyed our first meal in Quebec at the Louis-Herbert. The outdoor tables are under an awning, so the sun was not a problem. Our breakfast was delicious with crepes and very tasty fresh fruit. The waiter was bilingual, friendly and informative. Breakfast at Louis-Herbert started our Quebec vacation off beautifully. The restaurant is located directly across from Hotel Chateau... More

Used Open Table to make reservations for our 25th anniversary dinner, and included a note to the restaurant regarding our special event and our dietary restrictions. The restaurant is nicely located on a busy restaurant/terrace strip, very close to the old city. We asked to sit indoors upon arrival as it was heavily raining (there is a roomy terrace in... More

I found the food to be disappointing, give the reviews. Appetizer of lobster bisque was ok but not outstanding. Main course was Maple Duck, and the duck was kind of tough. Given the high cost I found the quality unacceptable.
