Went there for lunch with the family and we had amazing dumplings and even bough some frozen ones to cook at home. Our favorites were lamb-coriander and porc-vegetables. There is a good deal for lunch with a soup and a salad included.

This place is dirty and outdated. The service is simply terrible. We waited 1,5 hours to get our dumplings and the food is average. I would not recommend this place to anyone considering that there's plenty of places in Montreal to eat great dumplings

Well, this place looks very bad and the service not that good. But they make a very good handmade fresh dumpling. And I will definitely go back to try more dishes.

This place has an horrible service. First of all, we had a reservation for our group, but instead, they've let people on our table 5 minutes before our reservation, so we had to wait a bit longer than an hour to have our table. We were told "sorry" bunch of times. The other biggest reason why we went there, was... More

Being a dumpling officianato, we were very excited to try this place out...Some reviewer said something like..." Place looks shady, but the dumplings are great" oh well we thought most Chinese places are dumps anyway, but we love Chinese food....BUT...This place takes the cake. This is definitely the DUMP in DUMPLING! This is definitely not a place for anyone beyond... More

Try the lamb and coriander dumplings. Staff is helpful but this place is popular with students and can be crowded.

A simple choice of steamed or fried dumplings but they are all very good. The crowd inside and the line at the door are definitely justified.

This is a hole in the wall - it looks sketchy from the outside - but I bet you you will fall in love with this place! Now fair heads up: steaming fresh soup dumplings takes time - the food will take longer than you are used to! Worth every penny though!!!

Located off St Laurent in the heart of Chinatown, this no frills restaurant is worth your time. Serving up a very large variety of dumplings from meat to fish to vegetable, it's worth paying the extra 50 cents (seriously) to have 2 types of dumplings in your order. We weren't experienced with the sauces (vinegar, soy sauce and some strong... More

There are several places in Montreal's Chinatown which serve truly excellent dumplings, but none are better than Qing Hua. They make dumplings all of which when cooked release a flavorful broth which make the tasty fillings moist. The dumpling skins are soft with just the right amount of chewiness. You can have any version steamed or fried. Definitely get the... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
