Stopped by for a mid-afternoon cappuccino and a cafe au lait with a sweet treat. Excellent quality, will be back.

4 of us walked off the street for lunch and were quite happy. Nice 20's 30's lunch counter art deco feel; lots of young people, nice buzz.. Good food at ok prices for mid town. I had a mediterannean omelet, green salad, and glass of wine for lunch and felt quite good about the experience.

My husband and I came across this restaurant years ago, and we frequent it many times when we are in Montreal. The Italian sausage omelet is amazing with a close second going to the smoked salmon one. They offer up several different salads each day and you can choose to try up to 3 for a trio dish which makes... More

The staff could not be nicer. The coffee was good, and the chocolate on the cappuccinos delicious. Pastries were just OK. Prices are high, much like most Montreal downtown cafes.

When we visit Montreal, this is always where we have breakfast at least once. The food is excellent, fresh, beautifully served with a generous sampling of fruits, and the service is friendly and helpful. Wish the seating was more comfortable, but as I said, we keep coming back for the food.

I dropped in for a coffee, cake and to check my emails. They smiled, gave me a table, took my money. Before I had finished my coffee, the owner came over and asked if I was staying for lunch. I had just finished a cake so I declined. He told me to be out within a few minutes as lunch... More

We passed by for a coffee and we were surprised of the cosy spot. The music was nice the service was regular. Coffee like a Cappuccino grande for 4,75 $ a Tea the same price. 2,90$ for a Pastel de Nata is really pricey. If you want to have a different flair as Tim Hortons you have to take the... More

I went to this place for breakfast. The place is nice and cozy. I tried to get a healthy breakfast and it was good. Nothing special though.

I do not recommend this place ever ever ever! Worst service ever coming from a manager. The owner/ manager Jorge is very rude- I am shocked by the way he talked to us. A very disrespectful man, who sadly lacks a lot of professionalism towards his clients. A perfect example of a manager that clearly does not get the fact... More

This small busy cafe serves up great distinctive food and the staff are very accommodating. The natas, small creamy tarts, are as good as any we have had in Portugal. A real find in downtown Montreal!

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
