Owned by Portuguese, this place is affordable and it offers a large variety of Portuguese food. The chicken is a classic an with plates you get a house salad and Portuguese bread.

Very average food comparing to other great Portuguese restaurants in the city and I must say the service was quick poor. All in all it was quite a disappointing experience

We dined at Barroso Grill for my spouse’s birthday. We were a group of 11 people, including our 4-year-old. We had an early reservation, which was great, as at 7pm the place really filled up and got pretty noisy. The food was really fantastic. The chicken was tender and delicious. Even if you’re full, make some room for their delicious... More

My wife had a very good meal this past week. This is your typical Portuguese grill restaurant. Nothing fancy, but the food is great and plentiful (maybe too plentiful for smaller appetites). Service is very friendly and on the spot ! We simply loved their chicken rib combo !

It was a lovely grill. We had the mix meat combo. And it tasted as good as we expected. We were quite happy with the service in the beginning by this woman. But then in the middle of our visit, there was a guy who served us and it turned out to be ok. He tried to be funny but... More

We were in Lachine and wanted to try this Portuguese restaurant for lunch. We were not disappointed, service was good and the Portuguese chicken was tender, juicy and lightly seasoned but with a nice smokey flavour. The fresh salad was good and the homemade chips were great. Both the red and white house wines were quite good. It would be... More

On a rainy friday night,my wife and i got lost in Dorval and we ended up in Lachine for dinner.Being a full patch portuguese grilled meats fan, what a surprise for me to find this place that is housed where an italian resto use to be.Shown to a street side table the view of the waterfront was perfect. The waiter presented us... We went to the Lachine location to celebrate our mother`s birthday. We were 28 and had reserved the room on the 2nd floor for 2pm on Sunday. We had the whole floor for ourselves. They had prepared 2 tables of 10 and one of 8 with a view of the water. We were able to circulate to any table and... More

If you can make it within 10 feet, take in the smell and leave...you are stronger then me. Hooked by the smell, I could not resist the chicken which was superb. A perfect blend of spices and heat with just a little hint of burnt charcoal.

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
