We had a fabulous dinner at Darbar. We made reservations for 7pm and were seated promptly. You need reservations to ensure your dinner as this is not a big place. The servers were all warm and welcoming. Obviously, we are talking family run and they all work together. They are attentive and hardworking. Our server was a lovely lady who... More

The food is great. I had the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Beriyani, both which tasted amazing. However the portions are rather small for what you pay. You come out pay 30 dollars for ordering a naan and a plate. We also ordered a portion of rice and DarBar ended up charging us for 4 portions. Their excuse being that... More

Food tasted all right. I got some tandoori chicken meal... it was 6 little bites in a bowl of sauce. No rice or anything on the side. I ordered some naan bread, which was not good. I was starving after this meal i ordered. The place was too crowded, waiter didn't speak english, they only had one beer available, it... More

Very small restaurant, cozy, delicious food. Be sure to make reservations since it can get packed quick since the place isn't big. Definitely to check out for authentic Indian cuisine!

I went with my girlfriend for dinner last night. the ambiance is nice but the food was not up to par. We ordered chicken pokoras, lamb korma, palak paneer, naan, and rice. the chicken pokoras were not done with the thick traditional batter, it was more like a thin chickpea batter on chicken (chicken fingers...), i have to say the... This is our favorite montreal restaurant. Food is absolutely brilliant and service is impecible. The first place we bring any guests in town. I think we tried every dish on the menu by now and it's all great. You will not be disappointed.

Loved all the dishes (Thali, Tandori chicken and shrimp and Marhas (?) we had but my favorite was the spicy curry (not sure if the name was marhas?) with chicken. Let me tell you guys! You need to try GARLIC NAAN for extra $4!!!!! This is the best thing ever. I'm planning to visit again for sure!!!!

On a cold night without a reservation, the staff found a place for us in the crowded but warm restaurant. We enjoyed excellent Indian found, fast and friendly service, and very pleasant atmosphere.
