I have been going to and recommending this bar for years, even wrote a favorable article about it. Unfortunately, with their expansion came greed and they have stuffed more and more tables in this place to the point that recently I was sitting elbow-to-elbow, and back-to-back with strangers. The waiter had to ask me to get up and move out... More

Incredible selection of beers. So many, you will need to consult The Bible of Beers. Located close to the Montreal Latin Quarter, great location to take in Montreal nightlife. This place makes a beer for every taste. Food is basic pub fare. Staff are knowledgeable and willing to please. If you like beer, this is Mecca.

They have a great selection of local beers and an interesting menu. The location is great and the service is usually good. The prices are a bit high though, even for downtown standards.

Started a beer tour here and had to come back again to explore some more. This place has tons and tons of great beers and a pleasant and patient staff. The place was right on a main street with lots of other good bars so a crawl would be easy. The poutine was crazy good matched with their double breakfast stout.

The server spoke English very well and gave great recommendations! They have TVs where we watched sports and ample seating!

Free WiFi, ask for the password. Use their website to choose what beer to drink. The list is quiet large. We ate here as well and the food was great. Areas of the bar are a bit dark. Seating outside but mainly smokers. Not a bar to drive to, as you will soon be over the drink drive limit.

The beer selection is out of this world and the staff was very friendly. When we arrived and chose our seats, they told us that a beer tour was going to be seated next to where we had initially sat down, it and suggested we might want to sit elsewhere. Beverage-wise, There's pretty much something to satisfy everyone, ciders, hoppy... More

My wife and I recently had the great experience of having a couple of meals at Le Saint Bock. The food was very very good and the experience was terrific. We sat in the outside lounge area and people watched while we were having our meal along with a couple of ales. Service was very good although with it being... More

Visited Le Saint Bock with my husband for some tasters and a snack before heading to a hockey game. The server came over right away to let us know about the beer list and that it was listed on screens around the venue as well as accessible on their website. We both got taster boards of beer and shared the... More

Came here for dinner and a beer. The place has a nice vibe to it. Music was good and our waiter was very attentive. I had a regular burger and my friend had a Mac and Cheese burger. Both were very tasty. I do recommend this place and would definitely go back to just relax and drink beer with friends.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
