I loved this place! casual atmosphere, attentive service, and very freshly prepared creative brunch dishes. Lots of options. Very good sized portions. Take a walk through old Montreal afterward - a perfect way to start the day.

We were told to come to this breakfast restaurant for the best breakfast but we were not told that Marie Helene was going to give us the best service. Marie Helene was pleasant, she recommended dishes, was prompt and efficient. The food was delicious and...More

Great atmosphere. Lots of locals. Good service and terrific breakfast. I had the vegetable frittata which was so creamy and my husband had a simple ham and cheese croissant which is exactly what he wanted. Lattes were perfect. Good value.

If you're looking for a more substantial breakfast than a coffee and croissant, this is definitely the place in this neighborhood. Lots of locals in addition to the smattering of tourists. Great coffee. Skillet dishes seemed popular. We had two of their "themed" dishes. Mine...More

This was somewhere I had wanted to sample having seen previous reviews and a mention both on an online blog and in a description of a recommended walk in a book. I was not to be disappointed, this was a chic and very 'cool' venue,...More

Le Cartet is a highly rated restaurant and does get very busy. We had breakfast here and it was good.

The brunch choice is amazing. You can eat as much or as little as you like.I like a caffe macchiato with extra milk and they interpreted this perfectly. a slightly larger cup with a jug of milk on the side and perfect temperature. It is...More

When compared to other proper breakfast restaurants, this was only average. One side of the toasts had lots of burnt charcoal from the grill. We ended up wiping the toast with a napkin first to rid the black stuff. Other than this, service was good...More

We went here for Sunday brunch while on vacation and it was /awesome/. Their brunch plates come with a little bit of everything and everything was absolutely delicious and kept us full and happy for a day of sightseeing. It's super cute inside, and the...More

I don't think they take reservations and I imagine it would be crowded. On the other hand, service is pretty efficient and I think they turn tables over fairly quickly. Enjoy if you go.

Try the traditional breakfast of eggs, ham, bacon, potatoes, bake beans and toast. It's served in a skillet and it's very good. However everything on the menu is really good.
