My drink was disgusting. Sat there and watched my fiancé drink his beer without touching mine for at least 15min because the waitress avoided looking in our direction and when she did, she turned away and ignored us. By the time she came to check on us we were more than ready to leave. Absolutely hate this place. Waste of... More

They lost our reservation but went out of their way to accommodate us and made sure we had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were fresh and delicious. The closest Guinness taste to Dublin!

I had some delicious fish and chips here as it was conveniently located just right across the street from my hotel. The bar and wait staff were friendly. The environment was lively.

Went to a Montreal Canadians game. After the game we went to Hurleys like all fans do. Basement is just a regular restaurant. Upstairs is a bar like atmosphere with TV's to watch more sports. Food is great, service is great. Location is amazing. Love Hurley's. Will be back over and over.

Fantastic pint of Guinness, rugby on on all of the TVs, friendly staff, decent wifi. What could there possibly be to complain about?

Now I shouldn't give it away, but this is one of the places in Montreal that stars and athletes go to have a great time. They're all friendly and all just looking to have a good time. Great live music as well...and the Black Velvet is the best in town.

We had Mark as our waiter and he was superb. He recommended a "Lamb Stew" and it was out of this world good. We also had a basic burger and fries which was very good. It was a beautiful day and we were out on the upper veranda overlooking the street which was noisy with a pub crawl going on... More

My wife and I were looking for some live music and she let me pick. As she let me pick Irish it was. The band came on at roughly 10pm an played for about 2 hours. Great beer selection and very friendly staff. Several reviews comment about how chopped up the man roomed bar is and they are correct. If... More

I have been to a lot of pubs whilst in Quebec but Hurleys on the Crestent is very interesting indeed. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is very reminiscent of my trip to the Emerald Island back in 2005. Parking can be found street side or $ 10 Canada at the lot 2 doors down. It gets crowded at... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
