We were in the area and FINALLY went to Tre Marie. I was so excited to try this place, having heard about it for years. I ordered the pasta trio. Although the garlic pasta was quite nice (actual pieces of garlic!) .. the other two pastas types were forgettable. It was good, it wasn't great. If you plan on having... More

Not impressed at all. Service was ridiculously slow...snail pace. To add to injury not only did they have NO gluten free pasta , they came back to offer me veal or chicken parmigiana with vegetables. I Reminded them that bread crumbs were wheat and was quickly told the liver was the only GF ITEM they had that night. I asked... More

My daughter had heard great things about this restaurant and we were really excited to try it. Fresh, authentic Italian in Little Italy. So, we even made a reservation. We arrived and were shown to the back room by a nice enough hostess. This is where things started to go bad. There was a large screen tv with the Food... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
