From start to finish a wonderful experience on two separate occasions! Warm welcome and very helpful servicing staff. Food was eccentric but delicious. The fact it is BYOB is a great selling point but the value of the five course meals is the clincher. It's onourbicket list to return to with any visitors or Montréalais. A real jewel! Credit to... Excellent french restaurent. The bavette de boeuf was very good. Desert was outstanding. Cozy familial restaurent, relatively small in size , typical french menu friendly staff.

Just before Christmas we celebrated a birthday and our daughter suggested this restaurant, where she had eaten with friends before. It is a BYOW restaurant with 2 different set-price menus depending on how hungry you are. You absolutely have to make reservations, especially if you are a group since the place is not very big.The food is French cuisine inspired... More

I had the pleasure of trying out this restaurant on a Friday evening after work. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the place itself. From outside, it doesn't do justice to the atmosphere the restaurant creates inside. It is small and intimate, so for a larger group i recommend reserving ahead of time. Very clean & trendy,... Went to Le Pegase for a business dinner with my manager, we've been enchanted by the quality of the service and the food. Make sure you're having a reservation as the place is often crowded. Their "Table gourmande" menu is offering a great variety of choices for a very affordable price. Quality/Price is outstanding! Would definitely recommend!

Our son took 5 of us to this restaurant as a Christmas gift & my sister & brother-in-law joined us. The service was great & everyone very friendly & helpful. The lamb that a few of us ordered was the best I've ever tasted. Amazing! I love that it's a BYOB. I will be recommending this place to all my... More

Nine of us had dinner here on Thursday night and we all agreed Le Pagase was a lovely place to celebrate the U.S. Thanksgiving. The restaurant is small and cozy, but the tables do not seem to be too close together so you feel like you are sitting on top of the other guests. The noise level was never so... More

We went to Pegase for our U.S. Thanksgiving with our multigenerational family from Berkeley, Chicago, and Montpelier. The food was excellent, the owner and servers incredibly friendly and sociable. We had a great time.

Description
Located in the heart of the Plateau for 25 years, Le Pégase is renowned for its fine French cuisine and a selection of meats cooked to perfection. You can bring your own wine, so ... be your own sommelier and select your favorite bottles! The decor and atmosphere are welcoming and friendly. A romantic evening between lovers or a convivial moment for friends conjugate there perfectly.--In the kitchenThe owner-chef Michael Audet-Laparé is illustrated in many restaurants (Chez Victoire, Le Quartier General, Laurie-Raphaël, Grenadine) before investing in command of Le Pégase. Assisted by Jean-Luc Peyrotes, he applies, every day, to work fine seasonal ingredients on the well-kept cooking and to express his taste for the culinary innovation and the marriages of flavors. In the dining-roomDamien Haennel, associated owner, orchestrates the service and its rhythm with a lightness tinged with twenty years of experience in catering. A good mood and a professionalism which favors the friendly reception of our duet of waiters, Johann and Morgane.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
