On a recent visit to Montreal from the UK, we were taken to this restaurant by some locals to, and regular diners at, this casual, family-run eatery. Technically I believe it's a 'brochetterie', that is, serving grilled skewers of meat, but that's not all that is on the menu. It has some Greek influences, and also some wider Mediterranean additions... More

We have been coming to this BYOW, family run, Greek cuisine restaurant for years. Although the place could use a little face lift in the décor, the food is consistently savoury. It is pretty much always full, so you can rest assured that the food is fresh. Portions are generous. The lentil soup is a meal in itself and the... More

A casual Greek restaurant in Plateau neighborhood. Kid friendly establishment with BYOB (bring your own beer or wine). Big sized plates so bring your hearty appetite. The lamb and roasted potatoes was first rate and potatoes were done home style. The Baklava ice cream was heavenly.

VERY popular in the summer. It has a terrace/garden. Chicken brochettes and tzatziki are amazing! So is the Creme brulée. Great for friends or family get together. You need to reserve or wait in line. You can bring your own wine. Very festive place.

Brilliant atmosphere. Lovely staff, and a family run business and you can tell with the vibe and care. Food was very Greek and cooked on charcoal and tasted delicious. Reasonable and you can bring your own wine! We're really glad we found here on our trip from Wales! We might even go again tonight.. And tomorrow!

The menu, the atmosphere and the flavour are all Greek. The portions are generous, fresh and very affordable. Bring your own wine and enjoy your meal indoors or even on outdoors on the Terrace during the summer season. Big varieties on the menu; there is even children's menu. Park on the side streets to avoid parcometers cost. Located in the... More

Someone else reserved for our party of 9....and I really wasn’t into going here as it’s one of these salad rice and main course type places where you can byob....To my surprise my fish was delicious....so it was a pleasant surprise.. On the otherr hand there was a somewhat tacky atmosphere, plastic menus, very crowded...& .they came and put another... More

Early bird special- fixed price entree with soup and desert for about $17. In hindsight with one day left and enough food for 3, should have gone somewhere a little more elegant with smaller portions. They do not charge a corking fee- it is byow.

It's a very family oriented restaurant in my opinion. It isn't particularly fancy and food isn't 10/10, but Panos' food is still really good and has a very welcoming aura. Expect to wait in line to get in.

Went to a SAQ store in the plateau area of Montreal and they suggested this restaurant as well as a bottle of wine to bring along. What a gem of a place. The food was great as well as the atmosphere. Service was extremely good and very friendly to a non-french speaking person. I had the shish kabob and my... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
