Food and service are top notch. The atmosphere is typical MOR Chinese, not elegant but not squalid either. Bright, loud, clean. Not the place for a romantic evening, but perfect for some nice Chinese food at reasonable prices. Especially recommend the eggplant dish.

It might be the best Chinese restaurant in Montreal. Foods are delicious. Service is good in Chinese restaurant standard. Prices are also unbelievable cheap. I don't like oriental cuisine yet, even I could find something to eat and liked.

Our second time here, brought the whole family for a birthday dinner. We were impressed our first time here with the authenticy of the food, as well as the quantity and quality. A year little, we were please to see nothing had changed. We have sent our kids and friends here numerous times, and everyone comes back satisfied. Nothing extravagant... More

Went there with my sister n kids. Very good food, affordable price, good size. We ordered lunch set for 4-6 where we were 5. Good service, fast served, even it was a busy Friday noon.

We were looking for some good Chinese food in Montreal and found this quaint, friendly Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. The restaurant is clean, spacious and open. The menus are delicious, fresh and the service very friendly. I ordered the orange beef and was very impressed with my dinner. The flavors were excellent, just the right amount of spice. I recommend... More

Come hungry but you may have a wait particularly on the weekend. Very authentic dishes, preparation is great, piping hot and tasty. Makes your mouth water as waiters pass your table with neighbours'orders. Good service, once seated, pleasant staff, clean and bright. Oh ya. Tables are closed we.

My friends and I gathered on a Saturday night and shared multiple yummy dishes. They don't take reservations until after 9:30 PM. We had a backup plan in case we did not get in. We were a group of eight so we were very lucky to get a table. Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful throughout the meal.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
