Love Montreal...quick trip from Burlington. This is a neighborhood place that is remarkable. The BYO enhances the experience. The starters , calamari, fish (lobster) bisque, salmon tartare were all excellent. The soup ( vegetable de jour) was excellent. Scallops, lamb for mains were perfectly prepared and beautifully plated.. Dessert was a bonus.perfect parfiteroles with fruit. There was one front person... More

We celebrated someone's birthday at this restaurant. This is a BYOB that serves very good food, with excellent service. While parking can be an issue (not the restaurant's fault), it is well worth the experience, even if a bit out of city center.

The best seafood restaurant... More

If you love seafood, this is the place to go to in MTL. Plus, it's BYOW so you can afford to enjoy some special whites that most restaurants don't offer. There is a lots of art, creativity and love put into those dishes and the result is appreciated. We went with in laws (70s) and they loved it too. Unless... More

With a group of friends. Two out of the 5 meals were very good and 3 were poor. The major complaint was the fish was over cooked to the point of being dry. The consolation for some is that the restaurant is a bring your own wine restaurant. Unfortunately the price and uneven food makes it a poor choice. The... More

I loved the food. The waiter tended to all our requests. He was spot on!!!! He made sure we had water, opened our bottles of wine without us asking. The food came quickly and was just absolutely delicious and the flavours blended very well. It is quite a small place but really worth trying! Thank you for a fantastic evening.... More

Just returned from another fun trip to Montreal. The last time we were at this restaurant, I'm not sure how long ago, they had an assortment of fish to choose from, as the name suggests. Well, not this time. They had the standard salmon on the menu & as a special Cod. That was it. I had the salmon..OK..my husband opted... More

Sucking poor excuse for a restaurant. Mediocre food, excruciatingly slow service and noise level rivaling a rowdy bar, the best thing about the evening was the company and the wine we brought from home. Even with a reasonable $40 table d'hôte, one expects better than an overdone, unseasoned steak (asked for medium, received well done), frozen scampi and a 40... More

A very fun place, with great service and even better food. There is a set menu of choice; you get one first course, a choice of soup or salad, a main course, dessert and coffee or tea. I had the tomatoes with goat cheese. Wonderful, as was my wife's crab roll, with seaweed salad. We each had the soup, a lovely... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
